  This was my first time visiting Tybee Island so obviously I have not stayed in any other condos or hotels on the island but I don't think I will stay anywhere other than a Mermaid property in the future because our entire group was THAT impressed with
  everything...both of the cottages that we reserved were TOO cute and exactly as advertised on the site. Every part of the decor was bright and beachy - down to the smallest of details. Loved the outdoor showers and the proximity to the beach/grocery store/restaurants.
  I thought the extra bath and beach towels were a nice touch, too. I can't wait to come back and stay longer than just the weekend, maybe in one of the cottages that allows pets because I'd love to bring my pup along. I look forward to seeing what the other
  houses look like, but the set up of the KLP and Shrimp combo was just perfect for a bigger group (we had 8 people total and everyone had their own bed). Thanks for everything, Mermaids! Keep up the fantastic work!!

  Plenty of room more then really needed. Very clean a very well stocked we only needed to bring food and drink. The decoration was the greatest a new treasure every corner of the home. The outdoor shower was a great experience. This place is top notch !! Can't wait to get back.

  The key lime parrot was wonderful. Walked the 1 block to the beach, and loved returning to the outdoor shower to wash our boys off after a full day in the sand and ocean. Screen porch was great. Loved the fact that the cottage had towels, sheets, hand soap, detergent. You really just needed to bring clothes and food for the frig. Well stocked kitchen. Wonderful week with family.

  We felt like we were on vacation the moment we walked into the cottage. It is decorated so beautifully, with bright colors and comfortable furniture. We knew it was a nice cottage from the pictures but it is even better in person. It was clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We all want to come back to Tybee and would not stay anywhere but the Key Lime Parrot.

  We were absolutely charmed by the Key Lime Parrot. Everything was bright and cheerful, the beds were comfortable, everything you could possibly want was right there. We spent so much time on the screened-in porch and the guys LOVED the outdoor shower! The cottage is close to a beautiful beach and wonderful restaurants. What more could you want??   Once a year a group of northern friends meet for a week of vacation in the sun...this year we stayed at the delightful Key Lime Parrot Cottage on Tybee Island. What a fun place, from the Jane Coslick designed tropical decor to the outdoor shower...this cottage had everything we needed. The cottage was only a few blocks from the beach (an easy walk) and was also convenient to the fun Tybee restaurants and shops. The location was also a short 30 minute drive from the historic district of Savannah. We loved our stay at the Key Lime Parrot, and are already talking about next year's visit!

  This was our first time to Tybee Island. We enjoyed the "vintage beach town" feel to the city and the vintage feel to the cottage. Overall the cottage was well maintained and clean except for the screened-in porch which was very dusty (we sat out there anyway). Overall, a great destination at a very good price. Good restaurants and a seafood market close by. We would probably go back.

  The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars to the general condition is probably a bit silly to most but for we wine snobs a few glass normal sized wine glasses would have been nice instead of all the giant plastic ones. Also, I would have preferred there to be no bicycles at all at the property rather than a couple of broken unusable ones on the side of the house. Other than those two tiny criticisms, our stay was perfect and I would definitely return to Tybee and would most definitely book a property through Mermaid Cottages. We adored the decor of the cottage and the attention to detail. Something in every room brought a smile to my face. Now get out there and renovate some more cottages for us to rent!

  We were completely relaxed and at home while staying in the Key Lime Parrott. The place was fully equipped (with the exception being that bicycles were advertised as being available on the property, but the tires were flat and the bikes looked as though they had not been ridden in years....but it was not a big deal...just don't list non-working bikes as part of the amenities package, please.)

  It was just a perfect stay. The cottage was warm, inviting and fun, like staying with your favorite aunt at her beach house for the summer. The property manager was attentive and accommodating. The cottage(Key Lime Parrot) was very clean,cozy and decorated in such a way that it made you smile as soon as you walked in the door. The place was set up for eating in(pots,pans and dishes were available)or eating out(local phone and guest book with restaraunt suggestions were left conveniently on the coffee table). By the way read the guest book it's funny and informative. The extras were great WiFi, Washing/Dryer, private patio and my personal favorite the outdoor shower. I would highly recommend staying at the Mermaid Cottages for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. We can't wait to go back!
