  I loved Maddie's on Jones. It was spotless, nice location, convenient to everything. I had time to eat at the local spots like AJ's at South Beach, North Beach Bar/Grill, and local seafood from Lazaretto Creek Seafood cooked in a complete kitchen. Watched sunrises and sunsets paint the canvas sky, and there is a black Harley (with skulls on the fender marking ...well), if you see him, tell him I'd like another ride around the Island. Grab your clothes, well, on second thought, just put gas in the transportation and get movin', Tybee awaits. The temperatures were in low 70's in January. Eat your heart out Mr. Vermont!   My husband and I could not have been happier with Maddies on Jones, and the service we received from Mermaid Jan was stellar. We had two beach cruisers delivered from Tim's Bikes the first day we were there, and only used the car again to go into Savannah one afternoon.
  
  Maddie's had everything we needed, and we loved the homey touches that made going back to our own home at the end of the trip very difficult. My only complaint is Seaside Sisters, the local gift shop that stocks the Mermaid Bliss coffee we enjoyed at Maddie's, was sold out of that coffee that weekend. The coffee was good, but we really wanted to buy it because some of the proceeds go to protect the sea turtles of Tybee. Maybe next time - we will be back!

  Very nice stay at Maddie's on Jones.Lots of living space in the large living room and in the sunroom. A nice large yard for children or pets. Very charming!

  What an awesome little beach cottage full of history & charm! My husband & I stayed at Maddie's with our two college bound sons a few days before class began & a few days after. It was so nice to have a comfortable cottage near the beach to relax & enjoy each other's company before the summer ended & the business of school & our empty nest began! One day we walked a short distance to Fat Tires & rented bikes, we enjoyed pizza from Pizza on Wheels another, we enjoyed shopping at Seaside Sisters, & all the cute little artist shops at Tybee Oaks. Being the parents of art students we all really enjoyed seeing the trash to tresure art of Ralph Douglas Jones Fish Art! We saw amazing sunsets on Tybee's southern shoreline & from the dock of AJ's! On the last night together we sat outside & enjoyed dinner & music at the North Beach Grill while the sun was setting behind the lighthouse on one side of us & the full moon was coming up over the ocean on the other! We had such an amazing & memorable trip & loved coming back each day from our adventures to the comfort, warmth & charm of Maddie's on Jones! We all loved this little beach cottage! "My heart will always be in a cottage by the sea".

  If you are looking for a nice quiet place away from the beach, but still want to be in walkable distance--this is it. The property was in great shape and was on a good size lot to allow for some privacy. Great location. All you need to do is call Island
  Hoppers to get around--which was convenient. Overall stay was great and will be back. Wife and I had a great labor day weekend. Thank You!

  We had a wonderful time. The cottage was like a sweet step back in time. Very comfortable and clean. Not much space in the kitchen and few cooking utensils but then again too many great places on Tybee to eat to have to cook in.

  My family loved our stay. I liked the pictures on the wall of the Chu Family. The location was a short 2 block walk to the beach. Which was just the right distance with children. My youngest son was stung by a jelly fish one day, and we were happy the
  cottage had vinegar we could use to pour on the sting. We loved going to the beach in the mornings and then going into Savannah in the afternoons. I have recommended mermaid to all my friends, and we will book with them again on our next Tybee trip.

  Great escape! Mermaid Cottages Rental Co. sets the standard high for all of the other vacation rental co's out there. The house was nicely decorated with local touches & care, and the home was cleaner than any other I've stayed in. I did not want to leave!

  We loved our stay at this cottage. It was very clean. Short walk to the beach. Spacious parking area. Loved the outdoor shower. Air conditioning and washer/dryer worked very well. Nice fenced in area for dogs. The cottage was actually bigger than expected. The only thing that would have been nice to have is a hose outside to spray off your beach chairs and the chairs that were already outside. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thanks!!!

  My family can't wait to return. We enjoyed sitting outside the cabin, and thought that maybe more could be done with the large property, but the cabin itself and the location were perfect. We walked to the beach several times a day, and restaurants/grocery were convenient. The mermaid coffee was wonderful, and the cabin was fully set up with laundry and tvs. The weather and water temperatures in late May/early June are ideal. Thank you!

  I had surgery and needed to be away from home for a few days. Mom came to visit and we ESCAPED to Tybee! The neighborhood was quite and the cottage was actually cozy and spacious at the same time. I could nap as needed and Mom could visit with other family without bothering me. I could join them as I felt. Of course, short walks by the sea heal everthing!!

  I only have two complaints: The air conditioner didn't work but one day. The other complaint has nothing to do with the cottage. It was that you had to pay to park every where you went.

  My family spent three nights at Maggie's on Jones for our first visit to Tybee Island. We LOVED it!! The house was so cozy and children loved having their own space. The only thing I wish the great cottage had was a dishwasher. Other than that, we loved it and would definitely stay at Maggie's on Jones again.

  Mostly, I was happy with cottage. It could have been cleaner. The windows would not open in the master bedroom. It was located on a very busy street, but only a 3 minute walk to beach.

With two thirteen year old boys and guests well into their AARP years, Maddies on Jones was the perfect location for this diverse group.   We had a wonderful vacation at Maddie's on Jones at Tybee. The only problem we had were bugs - actually a type of roach - that lived in the trees next to the property, but when we called the property manager, she sent over an exterminator immediately. The little house is so sweet, and my family loved our stay.

  This cottage was very cute and in a fabulous location (quick walk to the beach and store). My favorite thing about it was the outside shower and the wonderful huge tree and relaxing chairs outside along with the large fenced back yard if you have little ones. On the flip side, the cottage was a little dirty(animal hair on the master bed and a coffee pot with left over grounds in it). Also in need of pest control for the aggressive cockroaches. Problems may have been fixed by now but it may be good to ask. Don't forget to visit Aj's for sunsets and great food!
