  LOVE LOVE LOVED my stay at Marsh Mermaid! I'm super picky, and this place was perfection. First off, it's immaculate. That's a HUGE thing for me. Second, a bed more comfortable than my own. Attention to detail as far as comfort? Off the chart. Lovely space. Serene. Quiet. Really, I cannot say enough good things about Mermaid Cottages and Marsh Mermaid. Oh, and this duplex is maybe five blocks from the beach. Just take 6th Street across Butler and you are there. You can even walk the beach to Tybee Pier, which is probably less than a mile. I want to marry this place.

  Immaculate! Mermaid staff was cooperative, responsive, and very attentive. Sunset over the marsh was exquisite. We also enjoyed bird watching during the sunrise hours. Very quiet, relaxing, and comfortable.

  It was so nice to open the door to a fresh clean lovely home. It was just as the photos showed and stocked with coffee and treats for the pup. The special Mermaid Cottage dog tags were a little something special that I would have never thought of. The house was **** and span clean and decorated beautifully. Enjoyed our stay so much.

  My sister wanted to take me to Tybee for a weekend introduction - I'd never been. I absolutely loved it! Some visitors might feel this location was too far away or remote but not us...The march was absolutely beautiful (and no mosquitoes!), the location
  was only 1/2 mile from the beach (walking distance), the neighbors were frienedly, and the space was perfect. (There were five (5) of us total and we had plenty of room.) We are big cookers, so the kitchen and bbq grill were definitely welcomed and used. Clean.
  Clean. Clean. The only one minor point of caution is that there is only basic cable. If you are TV junkies or like just to have background noise, you might want to bring DVD's or a computer. I've already asked to plan another trip soon!

  The property looked just like the pictures. The sheets and mattress were good quality, kitchen well stocked, and tv's all in good shape. The only two issues I had were window coverings and lack of yard space for my dogs. There was just one teeny tiny bit of grass in the enclosed section of the yard. It would have been helpful to have had the fence include the grassy area just behind the house. The front top floor bedroom didn't have any curtains or blinds and the master bedroom had very thin curtains. While the property is generally very secluded with marsh on two sides, the next door neighbors had a very bright night that burned all night. I ended up putting the extra blankets over the curtain rods to block out some of the light. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. Me, my daughters, and our two dogs were very comfortable during our 6 night stay.

  I really enjoyed my stay at the Marsh Mermaid! It was exactly as pictured which can sometime be a problem with rentals; but this one was exactly like the pictures. Love the king size bed in the master and the fact that everyone had there own bathroom areas. There were only two things that I would change and that would be the clothes dryer, it would need two cycles to dry the clothes and the television only had 2 children's channels. Someone did stop by and ask about the satellite service so I'm pretty sure they are changing it soon. I did stay an extra day so those small things didn't change much about my stay. And I must mention nothing was bad enough to call guest services about. I really enjoyed my stay and I would defiantly recommend this rental to anyone who is wanting a nice place for there next getaway! Tybee Island is beautiful and getting up early to see the sun rise is worth it!! Oh yeah Captain Mike's dolphin adventure is amazing too!

  The only downside was the very loud music blasted from the house next door. I would not recommend to anyone who has young children they needed to put to bed early.

  We had a wonderful stay at Marsh Mermaid! Loved the fact that all three bedrooms had comfortable beds and three separate bathrooms! We enjoyed grilling out and sitting on the porch with the beautiful view of the marsh. Only compliant was that the bedroom windows did not have blinds, we would of liked to sleep in past 6, but it was impossible!

  The unit we stayed in was both comfortable and well situated for our needs. The owners have done a very nice job of equipping the house with everything you'd need for even an extended stay. I am very pleased with my stay and will look forward to the next time I am able to visit Tybee and, hopefully, rent this house.

  My family loved this duplex! What impressed us most was that it was exactly like the pictures on the website. The duplex was in a great location near the beach, it was clean, comfortable and well kept. We loved being outside on the deck and enjoyed the view of the marsh. The only down side was the neighbors were having some work done on their home and there was abit of construction noise. The neighbors were out in the pool late also but this was a minor inconvenience. Overall we loved the property, and plan to definately return again! We just really loved the place!

  Excellent view with daily bird displays. Pelicans, Blue Herons, and White Egrets can keep you entertained. Spent several days in Savannah and even took a tour of Savannah on Segways. Took a sihgtseeing cruise on the Riverboat and found more restaurants.
  Had to call maintence personnel for minor items, and they corrected poblems we weren't even concerned with. Mermaid staff is great to deal with.

  My mother, sister, brother-in-law and I stayed in the Marsh Mermaid. We try to come to either Savannah or Tybee Island every year. This was our first time with a Mermaid cottage and it will not be our last. The house was beautiful and in a perfect location overlooking the marsh. The sleeping accommodations were great. My mom is 88 and the downstairs bedroom suited her to a tee since she didn't have to climb stairs in the house. The house was furnished with everything we needed. Barbara at Mermaid Cottages could not have been more accommodating. We can't wait to return to Tybee and the Mermaid cottages.

  Really everything we had hoped for and expected with one exception. There was no way to watch DVD's...can't remember if there wasn't a DVD player there or if we had one that just didn't work...other than that, the place was great, its location was great, the island was beautiful, property manager was great and we had a wonderful stay.

  The only complaint I have is I never received my pet deposit back even though I was told I would... there wasn't any damage and I am still waiting for it.
