  Everything was very clean,kitchen was well stocked.Cottage was very cute & cozy.(Outside probably needs a coat of paint)Enjoyed the screened-in porch,(even though the traffic was somewhat noisey)we spent most of our spare time out there.

  Sea Glass Cottage is a delightful cottage. My sister, 2 cousins and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Being on the main road was a little noisy, but the great screened porch made the traffic noise tolerable. We took nightly walks to the beach to view the stars. Biking to the light house and around the island just checking thing out added to the fun of our vacation. The cottage was very clean and charmingly decorated.

  Our weekend at sea glass cottage was wonderful! Cottage was so adorable and homey. We had never been to Tybee before and it was like going back in time. Mermaid cottages was so easy to rent from and all of their staff were friendly and professional. I loved it so much that I just booked another long weekend through mermaid cottages for June.   We enjoyed our stay over spring break last week. The house was charming, and had everything that we needed. It was very clean and well appointed and convenient to everything. Only one drawback was the traffic noise from being right on Butler Avenue. This was really only a negative at night for the master bedroom. Thanks for a great stay!

If noise bothers you, we hope you will consider one of our other cottages for your next visit. We have cottages all over Tybee and quite a few on very quiet, peaceful locations.   Overall, we were very happy with the cottage. It is well decorated and very comfy. The only negatives about the cottage were things that cannot be changed by the rental company and that was the noise from the road and the super loud neighbors! The cottage itself is very cute and had everything in it we could need! We could easily walk to the restaurants and shops. Personally, I would loved to have had a hammock on the porch, but that it just me! Very happy with our stay and would definitely come back.

It is very convenient to shops and restaurants being on Tybee's main road (Butler Avenue) but that also means traffic noise which bothers some guests. We are especially glad to hear you want to return and if you will let us know your preference for a quieter location, we can definitely give you some cottage suggestions in much quieter locations on the island.   We arrived on tybee on Thursday only to find our reserved quarters well I guess you can say unappealing:( that is putting it mildly! First I will say these reservations were not with the Mermaids! When I realized we needed a new place to stay I called Mermaid Cottages! What angels! Professional, sweet, and above all helpful! The cottage we were given was the cutesy place I have ever stayed! I love this house! Very very clean and comfortable. Great location. Location could be loud at times but we still had our meals on the wondeful porch! Thank You so much for rescuing us and saving our weekend! We will only use mermaids on our next visit! Spring break! We love tybee!!!

  Although it IS on a street called "Butler" ave. they should advise any renters it is ALSO known as U.S. Highway #80. Very busy with traffic (and we were there during the "off-season") with no view of the water!
  However, it's just a short distance to the pristine beach, and well worth the walk!
  Cottage is VERY well stocked and that was nice.

    We understand the street is busier sometimes more than at other times. The short distiance to the beach is an advantage of being at that location and as you said ,well worth it!   This was my first time on Tybee Island and it was so wonderful. The weather was cool, but we did not care!! The screened front porch was our favorite part of the house. We all slept like babies every night. The kitchen was well equipped. We watched our St. Louis Cardinals win the World Series on the big tv in the living room!! What a great time. The only bad thing didn't concern our cottage. We got a parking ticket ($35!!) in front of a shop down the street. It wasn't posted No Parking... Other than that we truly love Tybee Island and will be back.

  Working with Mermaid Cottages was great! They were helpful, friendly and an overall delite to talk with. The Sea Glass was a perfect location. I was initially concerned about being on the main road with small children but locking the door on the porch took care of that. We spent alot of time on the porch, usually talking about everything we did that day. Easy access to the beach, grocery, island shopping, board walk and restaurants. The cottage was clean and very well stocked. We felt right at home. We will definitely come back and stay with Mermaid Cottages.

  This was our first visit to Tybee Island...we were very impressed with Mermaid Cottages and the Sea Glass Cottage! We loved the large wide open beach when the tide was out too! The Sea Glass cottage was very well stocked and the decor was so cute! I will say that Tybee itself is VERY laid back..not too much to do, but you can go into Savannah to do some activities...we have a 4 year old so we will probably come back once he is a little older and can appreciate the quiet just a little bit more :)

  Mermaid was wonderful to work with and SeaGlass Cottage was quite nice. It had just enough space for the six of us. It is close to the beach and given the location, quite affordable, however, it is on a VERY busy street and there is a lot of night noise
  from the traffic and foot traffic. The amenities in the cottage were top notch...modern kitchen, outdoor shower, dishwasher, and laundry. Wi-fi. Direct TV.

  this place was beautiful and very quaint. the back bedroom could use a little repair(the screen has a big hole in it) and my daughter found palmetto bug and lizard in the room and bathroom-thank goodness she loves the outdoors :) is a few minutes walk from beach. bring earplugs if you are light sleeper as front bedroom faces street traffic. overall-this was a good experience. loved tybee island!

  We had 3 adults and 1 toddler for whom we "child proofed" the house by moving breakables out of her reach. The front porch overlooking Butler Street was a delight to all of us. Walking to the beach was easy. The kitchen had modern appliances and the eating area with built-in bench was very well designed.

  We spent only 3 days at SeaGlass. We all wish we had more time. The weather was wonderful and the accomadations perfect. The cottage was exactly like I pictured and very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The towels and sheets clean and comfortable. The King bed is very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The proximity to the beach is great, only wish we weren't on the main road, very busy and noisy. Loved the front porch, sat and read every evening. The cottage itself needs a little TLC. Paint is starting to peel on some of the ceilings and the outside could use a good washing. I would have like to have a clothesline for hanging beach towels and bathing suits. Like I said we only stayed 2 nights but could have easily stayed a month.

  The cottage was as described in the listing. Everything was clean, decorated nice, and perfect for a week/weekend getaway. It was very cold during our visit and the space heaters worked perfectly (a 1930's built house does have some drafts). Couldn't ask for a better place to spend the weekend. Wife and mother-in-law loved it. The owners even had it decorated for Christmas inside and out. Very charming and quaint. Being on the main drag does provide more than wanted traffic noise, but some folks will like that. Would rent this cottage again if in the area.

  From the wonderful "Sea Glass" cottage to all the good food we found at local restaurants, the beach, and all the rest and relaxation, we would recommend that everyone should visit Tybee Island at least once. Although it can be said that once is never enough!!!!

  We LOVED Sea Glass Cottage. Tybee beach was wonderful on our end of the island. Too crowded near the pier. The traffic was loud during the day, but the front porch was lovely at night. The details to attention in the cottage were wonderful!

  We loved this cottage, it really couldn't have been more perfect. We stayed here over Christmas with our baby and our dog and our parents and everyone loved it. It was so cute, without being too cute. Everything you need is there. We wanted to buy the house and stay there forever.

  We loved the location of the Sea Glass cottage, with the ability to walk to the beach across the street. However, there was alot of road noise in the front bedroom. We liked the little fenced backyard for our dog. The gas grills were not working as promised, but we managed to use the charcoal grill.

  This was our first real mini-vacation since our daughter was born. We were joined by my brother, his wife and my two year old neice. We wanted to find a place that was close to the beach, cozy and not too big, and had all the Tybee charm that we had heard so much about. We found all of this in the Sea Glass Cottage. This is just one of the most beautiful little cottages I had ever seen. So fun and cheery!! The girls loved it - and it was quite child friendly. We did move a few of the breakables out of their reach when we first arrived, but other than that it was ready for two toddlers. We were very close to the beach access, which was important when it came to hauling all that beach gear. We were minutes from a grocery store, ice cream shops, and the pier. And of course it was a short drive into Savannah for shopping and sightseeing. I can't recommend the Mermaid Cottages enough!! Can't wait to get back!!

  Had a wonderful time with my Mom last September. Loved Tybee off season, had the beach to ourselves. Staff VERy helpful when I accidently locked us out in our pajammas! Great house, well preserved and decorated. Liked the central location but it is on a busy main street.

• The Seaglass Cottage at Tybee Island was absolutely wonderful. It's the perfect get-a-way for a couple or a family or like me, a girls vacation with my sisters and mom. The staff are warm, cordial and helpful. Great hospitality!!!

  Would have liked rental closer to the water, however, this one was peaceful and Tybee Island is still a quiet place, like going back in time. Everything at the house was in prime working order and able to accommodate all of us during our stay.
