  • The yard is completely fenced in and surrounded by the garden.
  • The screened porch has a partial marsh view, seating for 6 people. Great to eat, relax and entertain
  • The marsh view seen from the back of the porch.
  • The private shower has hot and cold water and the sky above!
  • The outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a partial marsh view ( but very private shower) and has a unique shower head! Men- you can even shave outside under the palm trees with the mirror we've provided!
  • The outdoor gazebo is ready to welcome you to relax the afternoon away. Overlooking the garden and flowers, tin roof to hear the rain ( such a perfect summer sound!)
  • The small front porch is in front of the cottage and looks over the garden
  • The back deck has a grill and seating to over look the back yard and partial marsh view. The outdoor shower connected by the walkway
  • noun. a small, simple, often crude dwelling usually on one story. Folk art from regional artist/carpenter Chris Roberts who also helped resuscitate the former fishing camp
  • Our cottage now has a dishwasher! We realize the cottage life includes the pleasures of hand washing dishes, but we decided we were on vacation too and needed a dishwasher!
  • Another view of our Sun Room third bedroom which is a day bed and trundle bed beneath. What a great view to wake up to- our cottage garden front yard!
  • The bright and cheerful sun room features a twin bed and cafe table and chairs. The room overlooks the cottage gardens.
  • Another view of the wonderful Sunroom and also bedroom. Wouldn't you love to sleep here waking up to the garden views from the windows? The day bed is a twin bed with a twin trundle
  • Our TV room, family room has a new fresh look as well. We love to fluff up our cottages to constantly improve how cozy and comfy they are!
  • The entry way features an orginal piece of art by one of the owners called "Cottages!"
  • The TV room goes from the master bedrrom and the sun room. The sofa is a double size sofa sleeper . We now have a brand new 37 inch flat panel high def tv and a blue ray/dvd player!
  • A wonderfuly comfy room to watch tv, relax or use as a third bedroom
  • The office and libray sits between the master bedroom and bath and the TV room. The window looks out to the side yard and garden and is completely light filled!
  • The master bedroom features a california King bed and seperate entrance to the garden. We've also added a half bath to this wonderful bedroom!
  • The master bed room leads to the large closet and the office space.
  • Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and leads to the outdoor private shower. Filled with art and bright , cheerful colors!
  • This door leads to the outdoor shower and the marsh views.
  • The full bathroom is very bright and cheerful!
  • The full bath has a shower/ tub and window that over looks the back garden and marsh
  • we've just added a new half bath to the master bedroom. Just the right size for a cottage.
  • Every part of our cottage is beachy- including the door to our new 1/2 bath!

We love this bright and cheerful cottage. Fish Camp is filled with art, comfy beds to snuggle, and a garden to dream and relax . NEW- the family room now has a 37" High Def TV with Blue Ray/ DVD player! We've also added on a new 1/2 bath and garden shed. This Cottage just keeps getting better and better! Screened porch, fenced in yard, pet friendly, partial marsh views from the back deck and porch, simple cottage living at it's best! High speed internet and wifi allows you to stay connected while you're re connecting with your friends and family. We are a one block walk to AJ's Dockside Restaurant- the best place on the island to watch sunset and enjoy dinner and drinks. 6th Ave is also the location where the Miley Cyrus Movie, "The Last Song", has all the church scenes filmed.

    Loved the funky, colorful, little cottage set in the heart of Tybee Island. Plenty of books to read, games to play. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the sun porch and outdoor shower! The Mermaid folx were helpful and professional. This is the third place we have rented from Mermaid and we have always been impressed. Each cottage has been unique and fun. My only wish this time, is would have liked to have a pitcher with filtered water waiting for us in the fridge as was provided our two previous visits. That was such a nice touch given the sulfur taste to the tap water.

    We had a great time at Fish Camp Cottage. Such a cute but peculiar little place...Clearly evolved over time into an appealing, funky and comfortable spot. Lots of great outdoor seating to enjoy while reading any of the many books and paperbacks provided. Great videos, too.

    Fish Camp Cottage is ADORABLE, our over-used, but apt description for everything in the cottage. My only caveat, it cannot really be billed as a three bedroom place. Our low-maintenance sister, a widow, had the daybed at the front for sleeping and there is no privacy nor closet space for belongings. We were two couples and a single and there would not have been room for another person. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, and we enjoyed our island visit immensely!

We want to make sure everyone knows it is in the sunroom, so we have quite a few pictures of it on the Fish Camp cottage description. While it's not a dedicated bedroom, it does offer additional sleeping area besides the two actual bedrooms. We hope to see you back with us soon, and perhaps one of our larger cottages with 3 or more dedicated bedrooms would suit your family better.     Recently, we stayed at Fish Camp Cottage over Christmas. It was wonderful. The cottage was beautifully decorated for the holiday. The staff were helpful when we encounted a problem with the Internet connection. We enjoyed the quiet location near the marsh and within walking distance to the beach. Lots of nice places to walk our doggies, and the fenced yard was great. Good food from AJ's nearby. In all, we had a very enjoyable and refreshing visit and would love to come back some day!

    We loved our stay at Fish Camp cottage. We especially loved the fact that they are pet-friendly (fee). The cottage was well-appointed and comfortable, great location on Tybee, very easy drive to Savannah. Would highly recommend.     This cottage was very cozy and in a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this cottage and Mermaid Cottages Vacation Rentals to anyone. We encountered a few issues including loud squirrels in the ceiling, a leak in the ceiling during a VERY heavy rain, and a leak in the bathroom plumbing causing puddled water on the floor. ALL of these issues were taken care of immediately, and we were compensated fairly for our discomfort. I cannot imagine renting from a better staff. These ladies really care about customer service. We will be booking a vacation with them again in the future.

    We decided to head to Tybee Island for our summer vacation this year. We chose Fish Camp Cottage, and it turned out to be one of the best places we have ever stayed. The house was just the right size for our family of four, and we just fell in love with it. It was super clean and charmingly decorated. Our favorite way to spend the evening was to sit out on the screened in porch, eat s'mores, and play Scrabble. The outdoor shower was perfect to wash the sand off after a day at the beach before heading inside. The location was also perfect -- we were able to walk to both the main downtown section of Tybee and AJ's Dockside Restaurant for dinner. When our week was up, we all were very sad to say good-bye to our little beach cottage, and we are already plotting a return visit.

    We love the Fish Camp cottage. This was the second time we have stayed there, and we couldn't ask for a more comfortable spot. It's in a great area for walking the dogs, just on street in from the marsh, quiet. The beds are comfy, and there are lots of wonderful reading spots.

    You should explain that the back yard is not fully fenced in. There is a gap in the fence between the palm tree and the neighbor's fence. Our dog loved exploring the entire property and is not big enough to jump the fence. However, a large dog could easily jump the front section.

    Only a few things we would note. The lights on the outside cabana come on in the middle of the night (like 3am) and if you are sleeping on the porch, its like a flood light coming in the window. The timer needs attention. Also, on our last morning, construction started bright and early and it was fairly noisy the entire rest of the stay. Our friend is staying for a couple more days for some much needed rest but it will probably be really noisy for her too. Would have been good to know this ahead of time...Otherwise lovely cottage (couldn't find a teapot...but otherwise all very well stocked!) Thanks for sharing the cottage

    We had a great time at Fish Camp! The cottage was clean, cozy, and comfortable and everything a beach cottage should be. We were hoping for a respite from a cold Michigan winter and the weather was gorgeous! We spent quite a bit of time at the beach (less than a 10 minute walk away) and in the yard playing with our dog. There are great places to walk and run and Fish Camp is close to the marsh where you can see beautiful sunsets. We would definitely love to come back again!

    The staff at Mermaid Cottages contacted us three times during our stay to make sure we were satisfied and we were. All of my interactions with them have been good. Fish Camp is a perfect location on Tybee: quiet but close to everything; we enjoyed our time there. Being pet friendly, it was great for our two small dogs. We have been to Tybee several times, but this may have been the best.

    Being a repeat renter of Mermaid Cottages I knew I would be more than happy with the accommodations but when the holiday lights came on at nite it was like we were in a magical wonderland. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. Several times when people walked by they would ask for information about the cottage as it was just so charming and quaint. It will definitely be a place that I will request for future stays.
