  The Blue Heron is perfectly situated for kayakers since it is only a block and a half from Alley 3. My non-kayaking family loved the house (as did I) and we particularly enjoyed the great kitchen, large dining table, beautiful back porch, super shower, claw foot bathtub, spacious fenced lawn, and comfortable hammock. Our very discriminating corgi said he's coming back!

  Wonderful cozy cottage. Perfect for me, hubby, baby, grandparents, and two Labs. It felt like home! The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. The master shower was so relaxing. Just steps from AJ's for great seafood. We will definitely rent again!

  The Blue Heron beach cottage is absolutely wonderful! My husband and I brought my mother to Tybee Island for a Fall getaway trip, and we could not have been happier when we walked through the doors as we arrived at the cottage. The screened-in porch was our favorite! And the master bath shower is definitely an added luxury! The cottage is decorated nicely, and the open kitchen area to the living room was great when preparing meals in the kitchen. The location is great (although it was a little bit of a long walk to the beach for my Mother who is in her 70's)... My husband and I took our bikes, and the area is perfect for a bike ride. I would defintely recommend this property, and I would stay here again. In fact, we are thinking about a much longer stay on our next visit. (Oh.. and the staff at Mermaid Cottages are wonderful and helpful. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and received a phone call from the staff on the second morning to ensure that we were happy with our accommodations! I think this is great customer service! Thank you again, Mermaid Cottages!) We will be back!.... and soon!

  We had one of the best times ever down at tybee this year . Capt. sterling from capt. mikes tours show us a real good time with the ocean Dolphins seen many right up next to the boat . Savannah to much to do and visit for one week but had a blast couple
  days .I would say the House was about as good as it gets , good location , AJ,s dock food block away walked there . The wife and Daughter loved the shower and steam room . Katie our Dog seem to want to stay in the yard and porch . Over all I will be Booking
  if possible a week for next year . Stay here you will not regret you did .

  We visit Tybee about once a year and we loved the Blue Heron, it was better than expected. It has a large screened in porch--one of the best features. Lots of room for everyone. You would never believe this place is pet friendly--you cannot detect any previous pets. Our English Bulldog loved it too.
  The beach is about 5 blocks away, but not a problem for us--we either walked or packed up the kids and all their stuff and drove.
  We will probably be using the Blue Heron on our future visits. We have stayed at several places and The Blue AHeron is our favorite.
  Thanks so much for such a wonderful time at Tybee Island.

  The Blue Heron Cottage on Tybee Island was Fantastic. The cottage was very clean with large rooms and had everything we could possibly need. The master bath was wonderful and we loved the screened porch. This was our first trip to Tybee and Mermaid Jan
  was very helpful and took great care of us. Tim from Tim's Beach Gear had the bikes we rented at the cottage when we arrived and picked them up when we left, great customer service. Now I know where the saying Southern Hospitality came from, Tybee and Savanna.
  We will defintely be back and stay at the Mermaids cottages again.

  This will not be our last trip to the wonderful Blue Heron Cottage. We were just so happy with this cottage it is more beautiful than the photos online. at first when we booked this cottage we were concerned about its location but our concern was put to rest it was just a short walk to the beach and shops . We recommend this cottage it fit six just right with lots of room no cramping at this cottage. and the shower in the Master bedroom is like a spa. We have stayed in a lot of places and this is the best. Thank you Mermaid Cottages for doing such a wonderful job .

  The house was wonderful. There were a few minor maintenance issues with the place (ran out of propane, a/c compressor broke down), but I only mention this as a testament to Mermaid cottages commitment to customer service, they were quick to respond and fixed everything rapidly. Altogether a perfect trip and a great place to stay! We will definitely be back!

  My daughter, grandchildren and I loved the cottage. We felt like home the minute we arrived. Could walk from the cottage anywhere you wanted to go if you got tired of the Tybee Island parking fees! Hope to return.

  BLue Heron is a spacious house for relaxing. The living room/ kitchen is large and the screened porch is also roomy. We enjoyed the fireplace with the weather being a little cool for Tybee. We like the location to the backwater sunsets, the march views, and to the beach. All are a short bike ride on non-busy streets. All in all, a nice vacation home!!

  The cottage is quite large for a two bedroom, and decorated beautifully. The living area is surprisingly large and open to the kitchen which was fully equipped to cook any meal. Location was also a benefit, being in a quiet area but also close to the water. Thanks Diane and my neighbor David!

  This was our first visit to Tybee Island which was a treat in itself. However finding a nice place to stay could not have been easier. The cottage information online for Mermaid Cottages is very detailed and allows you to choose the best fit for your visit. Lemon Drop Cottage matched it's description and looks wonderfully and was a comfortable place to retreat for a weekend away even in February. Although we did not attend the Tie the Knot event on Friday night, it looked fun as we left the beach after an evening walk. We hope to come back again soon!
