  • The front of the cottage over looks Horse Pen Creek and is right beside Doodlebug Cottage and right in front of Fish Camp Cottage. Ideal for several families to stay together , yet still have their own space.
  • Tybee Sides has an extra large fenced in side and back yard. The grill is in the back yard as is the acess to the outdoor private shower with hot and cold water. There is also an entrance to the master bedroom and the master bedroom from the fenced in back yard. Ideal to let your dogs out in the morning! Please note- as with all our fenced in yards, make sure your very small dogs will not slip out thru the pickets.
  • The back of Tybee Tides, this is the outside private hot and cold water shower and the enterance from the back.
  • This is the side yard looking towards the front and the marsh. Parking for up to 3 cars and or a small boat on a trailer.
  • This is a view of the back yard and cottage facing the marsh. We have sunsets daily that will take your breath away!
  • This is the front of the cottage which showes how large the screened porch is- clear across the front. The sign is custom made by local artist, Pam Martin. An orginal creation!
  • This Screen porch overlooks Ventian Drive and the marsh. Sunsets are perfection itself. We are constantly updating and improving the screen porch. We always have lots of seating including table and chairs for dining on the porch.
  • The porch is ideal for eating or just relaxing and watching the bike riders go by or the sunset over the marsh.
  • We have a cottage garden and window boxes everywhere. This is our Lady Banks Rose in full bloom.
  • Our cottage sits on a double lot and has a very large yard. This is our picnic table.
  • The outdoor shower is private yet open air to the sunshine ( or full moon). Hot and Cold water make this a true island treat. You'll never shower inside again while on Tybee!
  • The outside shower also features a rain fall shower head.
  • This is the view from the screened porch... a daily show of beauty!
  • Looking north from the screened porch to the marsh.
  • The living room features a HD TV with DVD/ CD player and I-Pod stero dock. The sofa is a sleeper sofa and the front doors over look the screened porch and marsh.
  • The room has lots of comfy seating to relax and enjoy!
  • The front room is actually a combination of the living room, dining room ( seats 6) and open kitchen. There is also a bar with counter seating. Very open, airy and charming. This room also leads to the front screened porch.
  • This cottage has a very open floor plan with the living room, dining room area and kitchen all one large space. Ideal for family gatherings. The tall ceilings give the cottage a very spacious feeling
  • The dining room/ living room area also leads right into the kitchen. Open and spacious and equipped with everything you need to cook and create.
  • The dining room area also leads out to the screened porch. The table seats 6 and the kitchen bar counter seats another 3.
  • The master bedroom features a king bed and master full bathroom
  • The bedroom was featured in the book "Cottages". The masterbed room has a seperate full bathroom with an entrance to the back yard and private outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
  • This room is also full of books to relax and enjoy.
  • The masterbedroom has windows on all sides with great views of the back yard and garden.
  • The king bed bedroom features a full bath, which also leads to the outside private shower with hot and cold water and fenced in garden and yard. There is a HD TV with CD/ DVD player as well. Book shelves are filled with books.
  • Bathroom 2- the other full bathroom. The door leads to the outdoor private shower with hot and cold water. This is also the bathroom off the Master King Bedroom
  • Bathroom 2 is directly off the master bedroom with the king bed. We consider this the Master Bathroom.
  • This bright and cheerful bedroom features one twin bed and one queen bed.
  • The bedroom also has a queen bed!
  • Attention to details in the cottage are part of what makes Tybee Tides so very special
  • All Pine Cone Hill Bedding and a marsh view make this bedroom ideal sleeping.
  • Bedroom 1 features a chandelier, marsh views from all windows, french doors leading out to the screened porch, Pine Cone Hill bedding and a wonderful bed to sleep!
  • The cottage has two full bathrooms. This bathroom is in the hallway - easy access from the other two bedrooms.
  • We provide a basic coffee service for all our guests including our own especially created coffee just for us- Mermaid Morning Bliss Coffee! We also have old fashioned diner coffee mugs to enjoy the coffee. Yours to enjoy whilee you are here and also to purchase to take home! A portion of all the sales of the coffee goes towards Georgia Sea Turtle Projects. We love our sea turtles as much as we love our coffee!
  • The laundry room features a stackable washer and dryer.

    We highly recommend Mermaid Cottages!! They checked with us before coming and while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. And we did -- for us and for our dogs! Tybee Tides is such a cute beach cottage! It's in a quiet marsh setting where you can see sunsets right from the living room or on the spacious front porch. The house is very open and light! We walked to the beach in minutes and a wonderful restaurant was right down the street.
    I didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back! Thank you, Mermaid Cottages!

    Our vacation included a diverse group of people. We had a nine year old and two older individuals. The only complaint in regards to this specific location was that there were only TVs in the living room and the master bedroom. This created a challenge when an agreement could not be reached regarding what to watch. It would not have been a problem had it not been for the extreme heat during our visit which made it nearly unbearable to be outside between noon and 4:00 pm. Other than that one small issue this cottage was most delightful.

    Our stay at Tybee Tides was just outstanding!! Great location, convenient to everything, and had all the amenities, and then some, you would ever need or wnat on your vacation. The cottege was meticulously decorated and made you feel like you were in a home rather than a rental. The physical appearance and the care taken of the home and property were also outstanding. We would highly recommend not only this cottage but Mermaid Cottages for your stay on Tybee Island. The management of Mermaid Cotteges is also outstanding -- accomodating last minute changes in our trip -- which we appreciated very much. Overall an excellent experience and because one week in not sufficient we will be returning for two weeks in October.     We enjoyed our stay at Tybee Tides...the house was in good order with the exception of the light being out in the laundry room and although the master bedroom matress is in good shape, I would recommend that the mattress be replaced in the guest bedroom nearest the back yard (the double bed).... other than those 2 things, it was a great stay....the house was considerable warmer this trip. We thought maybe new windows had been installed.....thanks so much.
