  Want to say yet again a big thanks for the Beach Reatreats for Heros! The wife and I loved our cottage. The Pink Flamingo is very nicely located and well decorated cottage. They also had everything there for you including bikes to ride to the beach or store. We will be going back again real soon!

  Our stay at the Flamingo Cottage was wonderful! We couldn't believe the attention to detail, right down to matching shampoo to the bathroom colors! It was adorable and comfortable. We walked to the beach and were in short distance to everything on the
  island. Every attention to detail was attended to. The cottage had everything we needed and was just a joy to stay in. It was comfortable and provided a needed retreat! We would definitely stay again! The Mermaids were super!

  We felt the cottage was perfect and have recommended it to many of our friends. The only recommendation we would offer would be to have a small cooler available so we could have taken beverages to the beach. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Loved everything about it and can't wait to return!!!

  I thought the property managers were super helpful and made the place cozy and fun! They were nice to call and make sure we were settled OK. Would have liked a little more storage space. I had to leave my clothes on the day bed which would have been a problem if there were more of us and the dresser in the other bedroom (pink room in the middle) had broken doors so was barely usable! Loved the outdoor shower and cute little patio on the front! Will definitely be back!

  My family certainly enjoyed our time at Tybee Island. This was our first time visiting Tybee, we found out about mermaid cottages in an old Southern Living magazine. We were so pleased with the accommodations. The house was clean and loaded with many extras.
  It was close to the beach and the street was great to ride our bikes on. In fact we rode all over the island on the bike route. I would love to come back. The only drawback was that the house is right on top of the neighbor’s pool and it was a bit noisy when
  they are in the pool at 3am.

  We love Mermaid Cottages! Diane was fabulous and David! They helped us with numbers for a wrecker service as we broke down on our way in! The ease of check-in is fabulous and the coffee amazing! I did want to let the owners know the cottage had not been dusted. Bathrooms and floors were clean. We will definitely recommend Mermaid cottages to other friends. There should be more rental companies like you! The nightly rental was fabulous. Happy Summer!

  Sassy fun décor. Lovely homey touches (bikes, beach towels).
  
  You might want to check the attic for wildlife and tune-up one of the bikes.

  Love Tybee...but will find a new place to stay next time...cute cottage, but back yard needs something to enjoy other than dirty sand....wagon beach umbrella..., just seems like getting less....will come back but to different location...

  This cottage was perfect for this get away with my parents. They were comfortable and the location was perfect- within walking distance of the beach, grocery and some restaurants. Beach items were available in the house which made it very easy!We went on a deep sea fishing trip with Captain Brad from Amick's and would definitely come back to this cottage and fishing with Captain Brad!

  My daughter, myself and her friend enjoyed the cute cottage. It was near the beach and easy to get to things by walking or bike. The TV was annoying however as it was small and way up high so watching it was uncomfortable.

  As a family of 4, we loved our stay at the pink flamingo - there was plenty of room to sprawl out and just enough amenities to keep us entertained. We loved taking the wagon over to the beach for the afternoon and coming home to the cute outdoor shower. The bikes were a nice treat to ramble around the neighborhood, too!

  the cottage worked perfectly for us. we could walk to restaurants, the grocery store, the beach. we rented a jogging stroller so our baby went everywhere. we day tripped to savannah and hilton head, but had everything we needed on the island. never turned the television on once.

  We had a marvelous time. The cottage was in a good location, had all the amenities we could ask for, had nice neighbors, good restaurants and was close to the beach. We enjoyed biking, walking to the beach and lazing.

  But I do have a few suggestions:
  
  1. Information Book - needs a section about the TV. Especially the cable system it was on.
  
  2. Cottage seemed to be set up for tall people. The dishes were hard to reach and the ceiling fans were impossible for two short women.
  
  3. In the front bathroom - there were at one time four hooks - two are missing and one keeps falling out. It would be nice to have more hooks.
  
  4. Layout of the cottage was kind of quirky. Having to go through a bathroom or a bedroom to get to the other bed/bath isn't always convenient. If I had known - I might have chosen another Mermaid Cottage.
