  Rose's Folie was a great beach cottage for our trip to Tybee. We stayed for about a week and enjoyed every minute. It was a nice walk to the beach, and was so close to all of our favorite places on the North Side of the island. It is on a busy street, but that just means you are closer to the action. We'll be sure to use Mermaid Cottages when we visit Tybee next time.

  A group of us girls stayed at the cottage over a long weekend. The pictures do NOT do this cottage justice! It was beyond adorable and perfect for us. The location was great; close to the beach, restaurants, bars, and numerous stores. I was pleasantly
  suprised how easy the drive is from Tybee to downtown Savannah. The only negative was the 3rd bedroom upstairs- felt detached from the rest of the house and a little creepy. Overall it was a great vacation!

  My family loved Rose's Folie. Our second vacation to Tybee was a hit! The cottage is well kept and sweetly decorated with all the decor an artist would love! I loved the collections and the books! Comfortable seating and a well stocked kitchen! We bought and cooked seafood instead of going out to restaurants and I felt like a gourmet cook because it had everything I needed including sharp knives!!!!:) The only thing I might say is that you really need mosquito repellent when you stay on Tybee. (I brought some but forgot to use it). Can't wait for a time we can come back and I will definitely be checking out Mermaid cottage again! All 6 of us had a blast, My husband Terrell, myself, Cody (17) Abby (17) Lucy (5) and Chewy (Yorkie Poo).

  We stayed at Rose's Folie for three nights in June 2011. The cottage exceeded our expectations - pictures do not do it justice. Kitchens and baths well-stocked. Beds comfortable. The attic space with the twin beds is very large and had ample room for the kids to spread out and play in their own area.

  The whimsical touches in this lovely cottage set the scene for a great vacation. I have two small suggestions: A bannister leading up to the loft bedroom will make it more accessible for children, older people and those who aren't especially agile. Also, the small roof gutter on the front of the house needs cleaning. But other than these minor things, this is a great house in a great location.

  Overall, we were very happy with this great artsy cottage. It was so wonderful to be able to bring our dogs, and the dog park was only a 10 minute walk away. I was happy for that since the fenced in section is only the front and side yard (a rather small area for a golden retriever). There is also a back yard area that is unfenced. Like others have said, it is near a busy intersection, and I'm glad I knew that beforehand or I think I would have been very disappointed by that.
  
  I think there are a few items that are showing some age, as happens with rentals. The outdoor furniture could be replaced, and I hope it is done for the 2011 summer season. The chairs in the side yard had a hole in them from wear and tear. The washer also had some mold.
  
  But I can say we were able to overlook these minor things and just relax and enjoy our wonderful Tybee vacation.

  This cottage was amazing!! It was very close to the location we needed to be at. All of us that stayed at the cottage were part of a wedding party, so after the wedding a lot of the guests came to our house. We may have been a little loud for the neighbors, but no one sent the police on us! They were all very understanding! Thank you so much! Would love to stay again in the future!

  Very nice place and spacious for the money. Very interestingly decorated. Well stocked kitchen. Located on a somewhat busy road, but located near many of the things Tybee has to offer. A nice place to stay.

  The Mermaid Cottages staff and system are excellent.
  
  Good things about the cottage:
  1. Great kitchen including all the cookware and equipment. A real dining room table would be a plus (it's a vintage picnic table now).
  2. Nice location in the older part of town close to lighthouse and a 10 minute walk to beach.
  3. Really quiet at night.
  4. Price very reasonable.
  5. Wonderful that it permits dogs.
  6. Towels and bed linens very nice.
  
  The little cottage is cute but I would offer a few(hopefully constructive) suggestions.
  1. Providing more blankets for the beds would have allowed us to use a lot less energy during our New Years stay.
  2. A couple more comfortable chairs are needed. The only comfortable seating inside the house is the smallish couch.
  3. Bedside lamps! In our room one had such a dark shade it was useless and the other couldn't be plugged in because the cord wouldn't reach an outlet.
  4. The listing should indicate that the upstairs is best for children. Small hard beds and a shower you can't stand up in. Plus, heat doesn't reach upstairs well in the winter so it's pretty chilly.
  5. This one is just a matter of taste. I found the amount of decoration to be excessive and claustrophobic.

  Loved the cottage. Location on the quieter Northside of the island with easy access to the lighthouse and the north beach. Beds very comfortable. Some issue with adequate comfortable seating capacity in living and dining area, but truly a minor concern. Upstairs a little odd, but would make a great sleeping/play are for families with children. Kitchen up to date and well stocked. Mermaid cottages efficient, expedient, and accomodating from reservations through departure. Unequivocally recommended.

  The Mermaid Ladies were awesome and available. We were slightly disappointed in the third bedroom on the second floor as the very large and spacious room was empty except for the two twin beds. Loved the cozy feel of the home and the location only two blocks from the lighthouse and two blocks from the beach. This was definitely a fantastic location for a relaxing girls weekend!
