  Every year all the ladies in the family take a Mother's Day weekend trip ever since my grandmother passed away. We usually want around a 4hour drive max, a beach near by, and some shopping. Therefore we have a budget and they help us maintain our budget. We want to spend time with the ones we love, have a good time, and just relax. The Mermaid Cottage house we stayed in as well as their staff made that possible. As well as got us in VIP for Paula Deen's restaurant. It was amazing and we will definitely be back! We were more than pleased. Thanks!!

  I knew we would love our stay because the customer service we received before we even leggy home was outstanding! The Key Lime Parrot was perfect for our family of five! The cottage was clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised at how well stacked the kitchen was and it allowed us to prepare meals with no problem. We enjoyed our coffee on the front porch and loved the outdoor shower! The kids (10, 8, & 11 months) loved the front yard and croquet set and the park across the street! The beach was only a few blocks away and was close enough to the crowds for fun but far enough away for privacy. Tybee is our new favorite place and we will definitely use Mermaid Cottages again!

  The cottage was great! The only thing I'd say is that the outdoor furniture and the couch aren't very comfortable. The couch wasn't a big deal, but since the weather was so great I would have liked to lounge outside. However, it's in walking distance of several great places (check out the Jitterbug cafe) so we were never in want of a place to lounge.

  We came down for a last minute fall break with our two boys, 4 and 9. We have visited Tybee many times. The convenient location of this house was terrific, everything we needed was within walking distance or we could ride our bikes. The Mermaids were wonderful to work with and very helpful. We have stayed with other rental companies before but I felt with Mermaid we got more personalized service. We will definitely stay with them again. The cottage was wonderful and my husband even said he wished we could buy it.:)

While I got ready in the morning, the kids ran over to the park to play so the location was great! We rented our bike's from Tim's and I would highly recommend them. This is our third time with Mermaid Cottages and they always take such great care of us. There's no one better on Tybee!

  My husband and I spent 3 days at the Parrot Cottage with my sister and her family of 5. Plenty of room for all of us and top notch service before and during our stay. Just a short walk to the beach and positioned perfectly to enjoy the park amenities too. We highly recommend this as a perfect place to hang out while in Tybee.

  This was our first trip to Tybee Island. The staff were very professional and answered all of our questions before our trip. The kids were pleasanlty surprised the TV shown on the web site was upgraded to a nice flat screen TV. The cabin was beautiful and exceeded expectations. We played cards late into the night in the dining room and woke up early for long walks along the beach as the sun rose. The front porch was perfect for slowing down to read a good book during the day. All three bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, including a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The short walk to the beach is along a clean well kept park that offered tennis and volleyball. The beach was clean and Tybee Island is beautiful and non comercial. Savannah is close by and we enjoyed a day trip to Charleston SC. All three kids echoed our thoughts as we left - "this is a cabin we would like to vacation in again!"

  #1. Our family will probably be too big to use Key Lime by itself next time, and
  #2. We didn't have any problems that necessitated meeting the nice folks at Mermaid Cottages.

  The Key Lime Parrot is exactly what we expected it to be! It is an adorable, shabby-beach-chic cottage, full of bright, whimsical touches. It made you happy just to wake up or come home to. The home was very clean and fresh, though the yard and outdoor shower floor could use a little sprucing up. Speaking of the outdoor shower, though-we loved it! It was the only place the kids I bathed.
  I was told in a former review there would be street noise, and there was, but inside the house it was not noticeable. Only trip up with the management company was a temporary credit card charge mixup. Otherwise, they were very prompt, attentive and available. I would definitely recommend this cottage and company.

  We had a wonderful restful vacation at the KLP. Great location, easy walking distance to the beach and the Sugar Shack. Close to the bike trail. We were a group of 2 families, 4 total adults and 2 toddlers. The cottage was perfectly sized for us, in fact we had plenty of room to spare. Loved the screened in porch with comfy furniture. The outdoor shower was my personal favorite, and we never had an issue sharing the 1 full bath. The cottage was well appointed and included everything we needed. One thing that was missing was a hand mixer, but one of the mermaids brought one over - no problem! The only critical things to note are that the fan in the king bedroom is very noisy and the tv is pretty small. I didn't mind that, but the kiddos did ;) Had a wonderful time, and can't wait to come back! Much love to the wonderful Mermaids who made our stay so comfortable and fun.

  we loved everything about the cottage. My grandsons really enjoyed the outdoor shower. Upon walking into the cottage my 5 year old grandson exclaimed this is really cute!!! We just wish we could have stayed longer. I also wanted to thank you for the Veterans Day program you had last year. My son is in t5he Air Force in Sumter,SC and after reading mary Kay Andrew's post about the free rental on Facebook I immediately notified him and he was able to get the Flamingo cottage for the weekend. He and his wife loved their weekend getaway--especially as he had just returned from an overseas deplooyment. Thank you ofr that gift to our family.

  This was my first time visiting Tybee Island so obviously I have not stayed in any other condos or hotels on the island but I don't think I will stay anywhere other than a Mermaid property in the future because our entire group was THAT impressed with
  everything...both of the cottages that we reserved were TOO cute and exactly as advertised on the site. Every part of the decor was bright and beachy - down to the smallest of details. Loved the outdoor showers and the proximity to the beach/grocery store/restaurants.
  I thought the extra bath and beach towels were a nice touch, too. I can't wait to come back and stay longer than just the weekend, maybe in one of the cottages that allows pets because I'd love to bring my pup along. I look forward to seeing what the other
  houses look like, but the set up of the KLP and Shrimp combo was just perfect for a bigger group (we had 8 people total and everyone had their own bed). Thanks for everything, Mermaids! Keep up the fantastic work!!

  Plenty of room more then really needed. Very clean a very well stocked we only needed to bring food and drink. The decoration was the greatest a new treasure every corner of the home. The outdoor shower was a great experience. This place is top notch !! Can't wait to get back.

  The key lime parrot was wonderful. Walked the 1 block to the beach, and loved returning to the outdoor shower to wash our boys off after a full day in the sand and ocean. Screen porch was great. Loved the fact that the cottage had towels, sheets, hand soap, detergent. You really just needed to bring clothes and food for the frig. Well stocked kitchen. Wonderful week with family.

  We felt like we were on vacation the moment we walked into the cottage. It is decorated so beautifully, with bright colors and comfortable furniture. We knew it was a nice cottage from the pictures but it is even better in person. It was clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We all want to come back to Tybee and would not stay anywhere but the Key Lime Parrot.

  We were absolutely charmed by the Key Lime Parrot. Everything was bright and cheerful, the beds were comfortable, everything you could possibly want was right there. We spent so much time on the screened-in porch and the guys LOVED the outdoor shower! The cottage is close to a beautiful beach and wonderful restaurants. What more could you want??   Once a year a group of northern friends meet for a week of vacation in the sun...this year we stayed at the delightful Key Lime Parrot Cottage on Tybee Island. What a fun place, from the Jane Coslick designed tropical decor to the outdoor shower...this cottage had everything we needed. The cottage was only a few blocks from the beach (an easy walk) and was also convenient to the fun Tybee restaurants and shops. The location was also a short 30 minute drive from the historic district of Savannah. We loved our stay at the Key Lime Parrot, and are already talking about next year's visit!

  This was our first time to Tybee Island. We enjoyed the "vintage beach town" feel to the city and the vintage feel to the cottage. Overall the cottage was well maintained and clean except for the screened-in porch which was very dusty (we sat out there anyway). Overall, a great destination at a very good price. Good restaurants and a seafood market close by. We would probably go back.

  The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars to the general condition is probably a bit silly to most but for we wine snobs a few glass normal sized wine glasses would have been nice instead of all the giant plastic ones. Also, I would have preferred there to be no bicycles at all at the property rather than a couple of broken unusable ones on the side of the house. Other than those two tiny criticisms, our stay was perfect and I would definitely return to Tybee and would most definitely book a property through Mermaid Cottages. We adored the decor of the cottage and the attention to detail. Something in every room brought a smile to my face. Now get out there and renovate some more cottages for us to rent!

  We were completely relaxed and at home while staying in the Key Lime Parrott. The place was fully equipped (with the exception being that bicycles were advertised as being available on the property, but the tires were flat and the bikes looked as though they had not been ridden in years....but it was not a big deal...just don't list non-working bikes as part of the amenities package, please.)

  It was just a perfect stay. The cottage was warm, inviting and fun, like staying with your favorite aunt at her beach house for the summer. The property manager was attentive and accommodating. The cottage(Key Lime Parrot) was very clean,cozy and decorated in such a way that it made you smile as soon as you walked in the door. The place was set up for eating in(pots,pans and dishes were available)or eating out(local phone and guest book with restaraunt suggestions were left conveniently on the coffee table). By the way read the guest book it's funny and informative. The extras were great WiFi, Washing/Dryer, private patio and my personal favorite the outdoor shower. I would highly recommend staying at the Mermaid Cottages for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. We can't wait to go back!
