  We fell in love with the house immediately! It's absolutely adorable! We had seven adults and a four yr old and had plenty of room. There were games and puzzles hidden away, but the beach was so nice we could hardly stay away. The staff is superb! They helped with any questions we had and were happy to do so. Also, the outside shower was very nice and we spent most of our time on the screened in porch. It was just a wonderful time and we will most definitely be back again next year!

  Mimosa met and exceeded our expectations! Setting our annual getaway in Tybee allowed me to make a quick (if long)run to Alabama to visit family on the first day - and to host a friend who has been very ill for the remainder of the week. The cottage was spotlessly cleaned, well-stocked and the screened porch is incredible! The need for a replacement showerhead was quickly dealt with by Diane and her wonderful team! The cottage felt like home for our six nights . . . and we would absolutely come back and highly recommend Mermaid Cottages to our friends! Thank you for helping us make some wonderful new memories and relive some old ones with a very dear friend.

  Everything was wonderful with only a couple exceptions,the water pressure in the main bath was very very low,almost impossible to shower,could have been a fluke but it was bad and also we ran out of tissue paper the morning we were checking out,realize we could have called but it was time to leave so didnt bother but it was all gone but I realize there were several guests as well,otherwise it was wonderful,thank you.

  The Mimosa cottage was just as cute and cozy as described on the Mermaid website. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was within comfortable walking distance to the beach, shopping and other attractions. Very clean, peaceful and relaxing. Our only regret is that we didn't have longer to stay:)!

  Had a great stay, cottage was perfect for my family gathering and the girl's weekend getaway I'd planned. Few very small things you could do to this cottage: (1) kitchen faucet leaks (2) front door needs weather stripping (you can see daylight) (3) bedroom w/ 3 beds needs overhead light to work (might just be the bulb)

  The Mimosa Cottage was perfect for our first visit to Tybee! It was centrally located, so close to the beach, park, library and IGA. We felt instantly at home. The screened in porch was perfect for early risers to hang out in until the rest of us crawled out of bed! We noticed Mermaid cottages all around the island on our many bike rides and hope to stay at the Mimosa or try a new one next time we go back to Tybee. Thanks!

  This cottage was perfect for two families of 4 each. We loved the short walk to the beach and spent every morning and evening on the back porch! The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was very convenient with that many people. The beds were comfortable and we all had plenty of room. This was our 5th Mermaid vacation and I'm still a huge fan! Never disappointed! We will continue to use Mermaid Cottages for our Tybee vacations!

  We arrived after a long drive with our two grandchildren, 4 and 6. Their parents and uncle (our son, daughter, and son-in-law) flew down to meet us. Sunday morning our daughter needed to wash clothes; you know what a 4 yo boy can go through. Anyhow, the washing machine would not work. We decided we would call management after breakfast but, before we could call, there was a knock at the door and the repairman was there. Cleaning had found the problem the day before. He was unable to repair the machine because he did not have the part and the parts store was closed. He said he would return as soon as he got the part. The next day we really needed to do a laundry and he had not returned so we called management. THEY CAME BY, PICKED UP OUR LAUNDRY, WASHED, DRIED, FOLDED AND SORTED IT, ALL IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS!!! Absolutely amazing service. The repairman came shortly and the machine was repaired quickly. We received a call earlier (on Sunday) asking if we needed anything and informing us that assistance was available 24/7. Great company to work with. Oh yes, the cottage was described as 4 blocks from the beach. Those were the SHORTEST 4 I've ever seen. The distance was the equivalent of 1 ½ St. Louis blocks. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

  A great place to relax! There are so many things to do or not to do. Mimosa is a pretty nice stay--it gets the job done. Is it perfect?--no. The dishwasher is LOUD, the shower head is slow and the living room is small. Will we return?--yep! The bedrooms are nice sized, the screened in porch is heaven, and the AC works great. We had a great time, and we loved the fact that we could bring our dog. It doesn't hurt that there is a great restaurant within walking distance--The Sundae Cafe.

  Loved our stay on Tybee Island. Mimosa Cottage was very comfortable. LOVED the huge screened porce. Everything was very clean. Only suggestion is maybe a new dishwasher -- dishes did not come out spotless. Otherwise everything was great. Mermaid Cottage Management office was outstanding. Slight problem with a toilet brought a repair person to the door within 15 minutes and out the door not long after that. Overall I would recommend Mimosa Cottage and definitely recommend Mermaid Cottage Realty. On our next trip to Tybee this will be the first place I look.

  This was our 2nd stay at Mimosa, we've lost count how many times we've enjoyed the Mermaid hospitality! As always, everything was wonderful. Easter made things a special treat with the Seaside Sister "Peeps" Show (marshmallow sculptures!) and sunrise service at the Pier. The house was perfect, coffee waiting for us, all clean, great stroll to the beach, shops & restaurants. We Love Tybee and The Mermaids!

  The house seemed quite a bit smaller in person than in the pix on the website. The beds, screened porch and outside shower were excellent. On the down side, there are no clocks except the one on the microwave; no wastebaskets in the bedrooms; bad lighting in the bathrooms, kitchen & screened porch; towel racks are needed in the half bath; kitchen chairs are very wobbly; sofa needs to be replaced; the knives are not sharp; there's no large bowl for salad or mixing a cake; kitchen storage is virtually nonexistent; porch screen doors need handles & latches; transferring items from the washer to the dryer is difficult because the dryer door does not stay open and you hit your head on it; and some ceiling fans need longer pull chains. My niece and her husband, Leslie & Bob Wagner, were part of our party, and they thought this house did not meet Mermaid's usually high standards. I would only recommend this property to friends w/a smaller group who did not cook. The house is definitely not large enough for more than 4 adults. The floor needs to be replaced; the light color and texture make it look dirty all the time.

  I was looking for a February getaway, to do some quiet work, visit with my daughter at SCAD and escape the grayness that is my island in February.
  
  This was just what I needed! The cottage is welcoming and cheerful. My dog loved the fenced-in back yard. The Mermaids were unfailingly helpful and had left out dog treats for Oliver and a special brand of coffee for me. I felt very well cared for. You will too!
  
  Next time, I am bringing my bike. Such a great area for riding. And only a 5-minute amble to the beach.

  This Military Family loved having a "staycation" on Tybee, even though we live about 10 miles down the road! It was so much fun and really what our little group of 4 needed to do after so many months of seperation and another military deployment just weeks away. My 6 year old cried when we left. wish it had been warm enough to go out and build sandcastles and get a nice sunburn :)

  There were 4 adults and one child and plenty of room for all. We were impressed with the large screened in porch and the outdoor shower was a novelty! Tybee is such a gorgeous little place, it's really easy going and the people are very friendly. The location is perfect, really close to a park and a stones throw from the beach, believe me, you don't want to walk far in that heat! If you are looking for something easy and simple, Mimosa is a great little cottage.

  great little affordable spot for a family...the only complaints were that the kitchen floor needed a really good scrub...our feet/socks were "black" after walking on it the first day and an ice bucket in the freezer would have been nice...the outside shower was a great asset

  We had the best time at Mimosa Cottage, a quaint and "beachy" place that was just perfect for our family.
  We were a short stroll (no power-walking on Tybee) from the beach, but in a very quiet neighborhood.
  The house itself was awesome and we loved the huge screened porch and the outdoor shower. There is nothing like the feel of a sun-warmed towel after a shower.
  Our "magical" moment occurred when we decided we needed some crab-boil for our evening meal. On the way out the door to the store, I checked the cupboard. Our magical mermaids had anticipated our need.
  Thanks for making our vacation a great beginning to our summer. We'll certainly be back.

  There is not another rental company in existence that takes such good care of its' guests. We had one or two little issues pop up and they seemed to drop everything to come fix them. They even helped us search for the remote for the TV!

  It was a very easy walk from the cottage to the beach, lighthouse or pier. A screen door on the front would help with fresh air while keeping the bugs out.

  Mimosa Cottage is clean, inviting, comfortable, and in a great location. Gotta love the very private outdoor shower, huge screened porch, and cozy furnishings. Though the screened porch offers plenty of privacy in the back, our favorite spot to dine and lounge was on the front unscreened porch where watching the birds, people, and traffic was great entertainment. Only thing missing was a hair dryer and a bar of soap.

  The staff at Mermaid Cottages was wonderful ! We would definately use them again. Mimosa Cottage would not be our choice again unless the refrigerator, VERY noisy, and front door, not secure, was fixed. We would also recommend that the property owner at least leave extra trash bags in the cottage.

  We absolutely loved the stay we had at Mermaid Cottage. The manager was sooo helpful and the cottage had everything! Even beach toys! We were there with our 1 year old and I will never forget it!! Very short walk to the beach and playground and it was so relaxing. Loved the outdoor screened in porch. Large and relaxing. We had a fantastic time!

  We loved our stay on Tybee Island in this great vacation house! The rooms were spacious and the decor was great. We loved the screened in porch and spent a lot of time there. The kitchen was nice as well. A park and the beach are within walking distance. We can't wait to come back.
