  We had a great visit to Tybee. The cottage was comfortable,clean, well stocked and close to the beach. Perfect for kids. It was even decorated for christmas- so cute!!! The only downside is that it is SUPER close to the Arby's and liquor store so it's probably a bit loud and rowdy during prime beach season. We hope to visit again!

  Inlet Breeze is a great place to stay on Tybee! Close to everything, beautiful cottage decor, large rooms and fenced yard for pet friendly. The Mermaid management can't be beat. Check in and check out was so easy! I highly recommend this cottage for a family stay. We spent the last month there and it was wonderful.

  This cottage was perfect for my entire family gathering. Very comfortable. Perfect location to all the island activities.We added rented bikes to the equation this year which all agreed was great. The fenced yard held all the bikes safely along with protecting the children and the dog. Great cottage. We all look forward to renting it again next year.

  We visited Tybee for a girls' trip and chose the Inlet Breeze because it would fit our rather large group. The oversized rooms were great with extra bedding in each. We fit everyone with no complaints or feeling too cramped. The cottage was cute and the location was very central to food, shops, etc. We walked everywhere - including to the beach, which was both west and east of the little Tybee peninsula. The cottage's refrigerator was the only reason for 4 stars for general property condition. It's not the most up-to-date model, so it takes forever to cool after cleaning (like 24 hours). But, it's not enough to say that the place was anything but great. I really appreciated how attentive management was of our needs. You don't always see that and I certainly give them an A+ for their emails, calls, follow-up, responsiveness!

  We loved it. We were traveling with our dogs for the first time this year and when we got there, the gate on the fence was broken- as soon as I called about it Diane showed right up and it was fixed ASAP! The cottage is super cute and roomy- we loved the decor! We also loved the location, we felt like we had three different beaches right there. If you went right, you got the quiet "lake-like" inlet which was gorgeous and peaceful; if you went left and up Tybrisa you got all the excitement of the pier ; and then if you walked up 17th St it felt like a little of both.
  
  A big thank you to Mermaid cottages and to how amazing they were- both before and during the trip. They worked with me to make it happen and to make sure our stay was perfect. I've stayed with them several times and will do so in the future!

  Escaping to the Inlet Breeze is nothing more than a dream come true. This little cottage feels like home the minute you walk in. Everything you need is there and you can't beat the location. If you want to stroll to the south shore, it's only blocks away and the main pier is right down the street. Some of the best restaurants with fresh Georgia caught seafood are right off your doorstep. Mermaid also gives excellent suggestions for activities like North Island Kayak that I didn't know existed...that experience was priceless. We will be back in a year... This is certain!!!

  Myself and 10 of my friends took a guys trip to Tybee Island over the St. Patrick's day weekend 2012 and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
  
  We are all in our mid 20s so the short walk to Tybee's downtown restaurants , convenient stores and nightlife created a perfect scenario for us. Everything was a square block from the cottage including the pier and beach.
  
  The cottage has a vintage, comfortable, laid back feel from a era long passed. Upon arrival we opened up the windows and doors and let the breeze fill the home. The home was overly stocked with towels and linens and kitchen wares, which for a group of 11 guys was ideal. Out of all the beach houses I've stayed in, throughout NC, SC and GA, Inlet Breeze created the most memorable experiences.
  
  For someone looking for a more secluded vacation I'd suggest searching for another of Mermaid cottages (especially considering the incredible service "Mermaid Cottages's" property management group provided) . But for the faster pace, young at heart type group this home is perfect. We've already planned on re booking next year.

  We enjoyed our stay overall. The only negatives were the very old microwave in the kitchen, and the couch which was quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the cottage location and space. Beds were very comfortable.

  From the very first moment in Tybee Island, we were made to feel more than welcome! The whole city *couldn't* have been nicer to us. And it was such a treat to have the beach just two blocks away from both directions -- the trained dolphins performing out from the pier were phenom!!! Kudos to their trainer! 8-}
  
  The Inlet Breeze is charming to the MAX! Each bedroom's decorated just a tad differently.
  
  Being that we were close to everything, it was difficult to choose where to eat out -- but we're STILL – NOW – TODAY singing the praises of the Crab Shack. I, for one, have never enjoyed a seafood dinner like that anywhere else. And as a parrot & cat lover (and missing my cat back home), the Crab Shack was like a home away from home. Too chilly to dine on the deck, but on the way into the gift shop, we handed out some "pets". We ate at one other restaurant while in Tybee Island, but quickly forgot *that* name... Crab Shack -- We love you most of all!
  
  ...then we visited the Seaside Sisters, where I drooled over all the mermaids (Ginny here: MY obsession – I shows you it). We grabbed some Beach Bum Biscuits (to thank the friend who loaned us his van for the drive down – his doggies are VERY happy tonight!), and I think I saw one of our group at the register with a bag of coffee – Mermaid Morning Bliss (good stuff!).
  
  Some future day, we're hoping to again see Tybee Island and the Inlet Breeze! Purrrrrfection!
  
  Mermaid Cottages? Thank you SO much for your wonderful hospitality! Diane & Mona were in constant contact, making sure we had all we needed. Thank YOU, Lady-Mermaids!
  
  [Reading other comments, we've noticed others staying in the Inlet Breeze – especially in the summer – complain a lil' bit about the “street noise”, since it's close to EVERYTHING. Suggestion? If possible, bring a fan for your bedroom. I heard nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.]

  what a great place. One of the most convenient locations we've ever been. the only real "compliant" was, the bathroom configuration was a bit inconvenient for 8 people, but we knew that going in. One of our freinds suggested stocking the cottage with a few rolls of toilet paper...but not a major issue. Overall, it was fabulous! We will stay with mermaid cottages everytime we visit Tybee.

  I loved the location. We felt like we were in the middle of all the action; however, the picket fence added to the feeling of having our own private piece of paradise. I would have given "Overall, were you satisfied with your stay" if it had not been for the strict local ordinances. The last thing I want to worry about when choosing where to stay for my vacation is being ticketed. The ordinances are not all properly posted and the local police have a strict policy of giving no warnings to tourist. I absolutely LOVED the cottage and Tybee. I will probably not be back unless the strict ticketing relaxes. I have traveled to Tybee with guest twice recently and both times, each guest ended up ticketed for one reason or another and we are a tame law abiding group. We simply don't know what we aren't told. We have to find out thru tickets obviously. The mayor should really look into this. In my mind it is a serious issue.

  This cottage was in a perfect location...we had the beach within walking distance from all sides. There's a convenience store around the corner, and an Arby's, and the only time we had to use the car was when we wanted to go out to dinner. We also dined at the Crab Shack on Tybee...which I HIGHLY recommend. Overall we loved this cottage for its perfectly "beachy" feel, country coziness, and it was SOO very comfortable. I loved the fence since we brought the dogs. Everything was well organized and went off without a hitch. Well done Mermaid Cottages!

  Nine of us stayed in the Inlet Breeze three nights. It was a delightful experience. The cottage is perfect for a group. We were so pampered by Diane and her crew. They even brought us heaters for the front bedrooms because of a chilly January night. We loved the personal touch in all our communications with them. It's close to everything. We loved Tybee. Good restaurants and shopping and a beautiful beach. We are going back in the fall. You need to experience this comfortable and well equipped cottage and thanks to Diane and her crew for a wonderful girls weekend out.

  Loved the location being close to the beach. House had a nice set up, big kitchen and porch. Decorations, bedding and upholstery could use some freshing up, however. Preferred look and feel of the Flip Flop Cottage better although we appreciated the two full bathrooms on the Inlet Breeze. Karaoke machine was fun!

  We stayed at this cottage 2 years ago and loved it. Unfortunately it doesn't look like anyone has cleaned or refreshed anything on the property in 2 years. Everything is filthy...the floors, baseboards, walls, doors, curtain rods and wainscoating. The draperies need to be washed and the furniture cleaned. It is a cute cottage in a wonderful location but I could not truthfully recommend to anyone to stay there until some serious sprucing up occurs.

  Mermaid Cottages provide a truly authentic Tybee beach experience, unlikely to be found by staying in a beach hotel or condo. The staff at Mermaid Cottages are terrific, proving what is best about Tybee - a friendly and laid back enviroment where guests are treated as friends. Inlet Breeze is a large and comfortable cottage just blocks from the beach. It is in the perfect spot to enjoy being a part of the Tybee community. The large grassy yard and porches at Inlet Breeze Cottage were ideal for spending lazy days with friends and family. The decor of the cottage is beach-perfect. I've stayed at Inlet Breeze a few times and will continue to use Mermaid Cottages for Tybee get aways.

  Inlet Breeze was the perfect setting for living on Tybee Time. The rooms are huge with high ceilings. Just open the doors, turn on the fans and make believe you're part of a tropical island magazine layout. Beautiful colors and fabrics that make you want to retire immediately and blend right in. It's the perfect house for large groups when you want to be together, but with enough private rooms, porches, and deck areas to steal a little quiet privacy when you want it, too. No stress, no worries. The living is easy.

  I am so happy that we came across the Mermaid Cottages website. Their houses are beautiful (we've stayed in two so far). Locations were perfect and Tybee is a great beach getaway.

  The cottage itself was as charming as the pictures indicated with plenty of room for our family. The only disappointment is that none of the information told that the view from the lovely front porch was the Arby's parking lot. Having never visited Tybee before I didn't realize how commercialized it is. Overall, we enjoyed our week at Tybee but will probably opt for another less commercial beach in the future.
