  Just as our last visit...everything was perfect!
  we had a wonderful time. the weather was amazing, the people are warm and friendly and ahhhhhh the Dutton-Waller cottage is the most charming of all. The house was immaculate, stocked with fluffy towels and every thing needed to cook a yummy meal. everything gets a 5star rating from us!

  This was our second year a Mermaid cottage. Dutton Waller was warm and inviting. Once we put a few lights out on the porch to have our traditional al fresco Thanksgiving, we were all set. Diane and her Thanksgiving Turkey elves took care of everything we needed. The concierge service is impeccable. I highly suggest you rent any of the Mermaid Cottages. I know we will be back again and I cannot wait.

  I love old houses, antiques (especially in the arrogantly shabby style), being at the beach and walking so this lovely getaway was perfect. The screened sleeping porch is where we all gathered for meals and conversation. All the old wicker, chandeliers and slipcovered pieces were lovely and certainly added to the charm of this old place as did the tree swing in the front yard. I would recommend this as an ideal place for a women's retreat/getaway!

  The cottage was full of art, cozy seating, and sufficient kitchen amenities. Our two nights were spent on a very comfortable bed, and it was extremely quiet: our slumber was heaven-sent. We were tempted to try the bed on the screened porch. We appreciated the recommendation that we reserve this spot, as it was so close to the kayak launch site. Wi-fi quality was just fine. As dog lovers, we enjoyed the pieces of canine oriented art. Overall, Mermaid held the key to a lovely mini vacation.

  Loved the Bellamy art in the house - ended up buying one of her pieces. Please update the doctor list - there is a new doctor on Tybee (J Williams) and I was sick and found him helpful. He doesn't take insurance though. Also, would really appreciate more direction regarding local places to eat other than AJ's.

  We had such a wonderful time on this trip, and the best part was this charming cottage, which felt like home from the moment we walked in. The front porch offers the best sunset view around! Why wait for a table at AJ's? And the charming screened back porch was perfect and private for long evenings spent talking. The staff was so helpful from the time of booking forward! They let us know they were there for anything we needed. Tybee Island is so charming, and the locals were more than welcoming at every turn. We'll definitely be back!

  Dutton-Waller is a wonderful cottage, very homey with great furniture/decoration from a bygone era. If you're looking for HD big Screen TVs and modern furniture this is not for you. The cottage was wonderful to stay in and discover....when we left it felt like we were leaving home not going home,that's how Dutton-Waller captivated us.   My husband and I along with his mother and sister stayed for (5) days at the Dutton-Waller cottage. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The view from the front porch was incredible. We all enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and the evenings talking and having a cocktail. We will definitely be backed to Tybee and will be calling Mermaid Cottages because of their wonderful policy about our four-legged family members. You guys are terrific and the Cottage was gorgeous.

  My family and I had the amazing privilege of vacationing in Mermaid Cottage's Dutton-Waller Cottage during spring break. Staying at the cottage was like stepping into a page from Southern Living magazine--it was absolutely charming! From enjoying the view from the front porch to playing board games on the screened sleeping porch, my family enjoyed every minute. Even my never-stop, always on the go New Yorker mother slowed down enough to just sit and enjoy the Tybee vibe! The cottage is walking distance to popular Tybee restaurants and the beach. We can't wait to go back!

  My young daughter and I spent a wonderful and memorable few weeks here. It's a perfect cottage in a perfect location, just minutes on foot from some of Tybee's quietest and prettiest beaches. Swim, sun-bathe, beach-comb, crab, fish or kyak, then head back home and cook up a meal you'll eat in the cosy dining-room or out on the spacious and private screened porch. This is sweet, simple 1930s island living but with modern comfort seemlessly woven in. Come evening, head to the Hunter House for dinner or hit an ice-cream parlour, then stroll along Tybee's vast pier (there may be dancing!) before heading back along the darkening sand-dunes. The cottage is an idyllic retreat for two couples or a family. It has two pretty bedrooms and a period bathroom, plus another bedroom and bathroom suitable for occasional use at yard level. As you Americans sometimes say, enjoy!

  We couldn't have been happier or more pleasantly surprized upon our arrival at the Dutton-Waller cottage at Tybee Island, Georgia. Everything was so lovely and well thought out for a pleasurable, relaxing stay. We loved having our dog with us, and she enjoyed the island breezes as well. Everyone back home is now well acquanted with Mermaid Cottages and Tybee Island as a destination, the vacation was really a highlight for us that year. Our family looks forward to another visit soon!

  We travel with our dogs and we have had one very bad experience, but this was definitely quite the opposite. Diane, the property manager was more than helpful and really did everything she could to get us a last minute rental. She also lived in the home next door so if we needed anything we could just run over. The cottage was really adorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I am extremely picky about rentals because I feel that you work hard and when it's vacation time the home you're renting should be CLEAN, decorated nicely and well appointed. Well, this place hit the mark! We will be visiting again in June but we're staying in a different home, since we have a few more guests. Mermaid Cottages is a top-notch business and Diane is awesome! I would recommend any of the homes.
