  My friends and I escaped to the Breeze Inn for my 40th birthday/ Mother's day weekend vacation. We adored everything about this property. From the moment we stepped out of the car and were greeted with the sweet smell of jasmine, we were pampered. All of the details in this house were divine! There is a beautiful flower and vegetable garden and plenty of fun areas to spread out, like the spacious screened porch. The house was very, very clean, well stocked and perfect for our girls group. I would love to bring my family here as well. Very short, easy walk to the beach and nice, quiet section of the island. The mermaids are so wonderful and gracious. Would love to go again ASAP!

  We had a memorable time in your beautiful cottage. We are 4 childhood friends, since about the age of 5, and go away every few years. We have generally gone to NYC at Christmas time, so this is the 1st time that we have rented a cottage, and taken a more relaxing vacation. Other than spending 2 days in Savannah and 1 day in Hilton Head, the rest of the time was in Tybee. Recommend this as a true getaway, in a wonderful little town.

  Great stay at the Breeze Inn. Registration and check in/out are so easy! The house was so cute and had everything we needed. It was located very close to the beach, so we were able to just walk over a couple times each day. Had a great vacation and definitely plan on using Mermaid Cottages again!

  We enjoyed our stay at the Breeze Inn. The home is beautiful. My 3-year-old is talking about Tybee! I just wish we had known ahead of time to bring a wagon for the walk to and from the beach every day. It is a bit of a hike for little legs. Overall, it was a great vacation!

  My wife is a huge Mary Kay Andrews fan and we just loved our stay here. The house is furnished with amazing antiques and my wife just loved the interior of the house. We also found the back porch to be a great place to hang out and the location of the house was great. We would recommend only 6 adults we had 8 and sleeping arrangements were tricky due to 4 single beds. Overall though amazing vacation property

  I shared the holiday with my daughter, my best friend and her daughter. It was our first trip to the Atlantic. When we arrived, the moment we opened the front door we all squealed with delight. Every detail was taken care of right down to a complimentary signed copy of Mary Kay's book. Darling vintage details, comfy beds, great back porch for morning coffee and loved the beach. Our stay was much too short- this may very well become an annual event!

  My husband & I came to Tybee Island to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had never been to Tybee, so I'm glad we were fortunate enough to connect with the folks at Mermaid Cottages... some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet. They suggested great places to eat (Sundae Cafe-yum!, sorry weren't able to get to the Breakfast Club) and fun places to shop (Seaside Sisters). They phoned to make sure the house was in order, to be sure we had everything we needed & with a hurricane brewing, to ensure we knew what to do if foul weather arrived. Denise went above & beyond the call by getting books signed by a local author. You're awesome Denise! Breeze Inn was adorable and a pleasant walk away from the beach. Savannah is a short drive from Tybee, so you can easily enjoy both places in weekend. If you do get the chance to Breeze Inn to Tybee Island's Mermaid Cottages, you'll be glad you did. :)

  Cottage was everything website said it would be. Very charming and relaxing, especially on the vintage glider on the private screen porch! Cottage sits right on the island's bike route so could just sit out on one of the bright pink chairs and wave to passerby's. Reminded me of those visits to grandma's.

  We immediately felt at home at Breeze Inn. Having family pictures around made it all the better, even though they weren't our pictures! The quiet street was perfect for our four year old to ride his bike. He didn't like walking home from the beach because by then he was worn out so we made the very short drive over with our chairs and things. The kids loved grilling burgers and roasting marshmallows - a summer treat in the spring! The beds were super comfy and the house was very clean and really charming. We really fell in love with the place and hated to leave to return to our non beach lives - sigh!

  My sisters and I recently stayed at The Breeze Inn; it is a delightful cottage on Tybee Island that is set in a central place on the island. It was decorated in vintage beach style, except the very updated kitchen. Comfortable, convenient, cozy, and charming are words to describe the cottage. Mermaid Cottages gave us great service in renting the Breeze Inn. They made arriving and departing very convenient and they were easy to get in touch with, too. When returning to Tybee Island, I will definitely rent with Mermaid Cottages & hopefully the Breeze Inn!!

  This Ohio girl fondly remembers the two weeks of every summer, growing up, when our family would rent "Mr. Brown's cottage" on the shores of Lake Erie, in Linwood Park. The memories are priceless to me - me and my six siblings living in our bathing suits and flip flops, my mom rinsing those suits out every night and hanging them out on the back line, the jewel toned aluminum tumblers that always greeted us when we arrived and opened the kitchen cupboard - "Yep, they're still here!"...
  
  So this was a scouting trip of sorts; when we stayed over new year's weekend, 2012. Could I find a place that would make similar wonderful memories for our own children? The answer is, yes! I am happy to report that I have found what I was looking for!
  
  The wonderful details, that you see in the pictures, are all there. It's a warm, comfortable, whimsical cottage. We opened the front door and smiled at each other, as the kids raced around looking at each and every room before proclaiming it perfect.
  
  And Tybee, what can I say?! It is as warm, friendly and unpretentious as The Breeze Inn!
  We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
  
  I guess there is no better testament to how much we loved staying at The Breeze Inn, then to let you know that within hours of being home, we reserved ourselves a week in July to return. You know, it's important - This memory making stuff!

  The only missing link was an autographed Mary Kay book. My group are all fans of Kathy's Mary Kay books and were told that she always leaves an autographed copy for the next visitors. A small thing which did not detract at all from our weekend.

  We stayed on Tybee Island at The Breeze Inn for 1 week over Labor Day Weekend. The Breeze Inn is beautiful, no details were over looked when this little cottage was renovated. There were 2 couples and our dogs and we had lots of space and privacy. I loved
  the screened in back porch and the completely updated kitchen. It was a short walk to the beach, which was wonderfully uncrowded after the Labor Day long weekend. It was also a short and easy walk to the local IGA and many local dining establishments. While
  we didn't require any assistance from Mermaid Cottages we did speak with them on a couple of occasions and the attention they give to all of their guests is amazing. Our dogs loved the Beach Bum Biscuits from Sea Side Sisters, and we rented bikes from Tim's
  Beach Gear. I would highly recommend staying at The Breeze Inn and booking with Mermaid Cottages.

  The Breeze Inn is a great vacation home. We loved it here. My only complaint is the mosquitoes! The sprinkler system goes off twice every morning and it makes the mosquitoes worse. Mermaid Cottages called my cell once, left a message. I called them back
  and left a message but never heard from them again. Got home and had a message on my house phone that I could have the autographed book from Mary Kay but I didn't know so I left it at the house. Tybee Island is a wonderful place to vacation. We have been here
  twice and will be back again!!

  I can't say enough good things about our recent stay at the Breeze Inn. This was a Girls Getaway for five friends from various parts of the country. The home was perfect! The living area was comfortable and accommodating. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for every meal, snack, beverage we attempted. There were enough beds for everyone and three full baths...woohoo! We were an easy three block walk from the beach and from great restaurants. Jan with Mermaid Cottages called to check on us each day and had the answers to all our questions.

  During what seemed to be turning into a never ending Ohio winter I booked The Breeze Inn for a much anticipated four night stay in April, for me, my husband, our son, and his girlfriend. April finally arrived and after a long, grueling drive (15 hours straight through), I found myself stiff, tired, and I'll admit -- a little bit cranky. However, the minute we pulled into the drive at The Breeze Inn, all the tension and tiredness evaporated from my body. We were greeted by the most charming cottage and white picket fence complete with cheerful purple and yellow faced pansies and a birdbath surrounded by pink rose bushes, a smallish but very pleasant green lawn, and I immediately felt refreshed and at home. I couldn't wait to see the inside, although I already knew what to expect because I'd looked at the photos online so often as the Ohio snow fell steadily throughout Jan-Feb-March.
  
  The cottage's furnishings were awesome. A kitchen complete with any gadget, pot, pan, or appliance you could conceivably use in a month. A heavenly king size bed in the Master Bedroom, claw foot bathtub/shower in the Master Bath and comfortable living room chairs and couch with large screen TV. There was also a smaller flat screen TV in the Master Bath, but we never used it. It was just wonderful to sink into bed and go straight to sleep.
  
  The house felt, smelled, and looked clean, just like my own house. We appreciated that very much.
  
  Although we didn't actually spend any time on the screened in porch, it was charming as well -- full of 50s retro style furniture in keeping with much of the the rest of the house. We spent most of our time relaxing in the cozy living room near the kitchen and TV.
  
  The beach! A beach was within a few minutes walk away. However, we chose to hop in the vehicle and drive to the beach area near the pier where there were restaurants, shopping, bathrooms, and plenty of parking, all just a few minutes drive. The parking is a litt

  We could not be more happy with our stay at the Breeze Inn. We booked after all of us had read and loved Mary Kay's 3 book series SAVANNAH BLUES, SAVANNAH BREESE and BLUE CHRISTMAS. The cottage was everything and more. "Had Weezie and BeBe just left before we pulled in the driveway?"
  We were a group of 5 Gals, ranging in age from 56 to 86, family and friends. Every room well equiped. Kitchen so up to date and wonderful to work in (although I will admit that we ate out most of the time). Our plan is to send down a Christmas present, a pizza cutter.
  The sleeping situation and baths just fit us to a T!
  We walked and met some really nice neighbors, even one from Jersey, and the IGA a hop, skip and jump from Breeze Inn front door.
  Every room, whether BR, LR, or screened back porch was made for the person with a book in hand. Shelves with books and games galore and we loved the pictures of the cottage in the renovating period and the finished....great fun.
  We had a problem w/ the wonderfully large LR TV but Jan and Mike were there in a flash and all was well.
  You will not go wrong with this wonderfully comfortable at-home cottage, whether your stay is for a nite or 5 like ours. Go to the Breeze Inn and feel right at home.

  For months, the four of us young girls(ages 62-70)anticipated our "Girlfriend Weekend" at Mary Kay Andrews' Breeze Inn. We are avid readers and true fans of all her books! When we finally walked in the door, it was even better than we could have hoped! Every turn, we saw familiar items from our past. There were the painted tin sandpails, the small globe banks, the ceramic flamingos, even the St. Petersburg post cards. It was the perfect place for us to share laughter, long talks, and prayers for our families. The time flew by and it was time to leave far too soon. We will definitely be going back!
