  • The front of the beach home. The front of the home faces east - towards the sunrise and the beach.
  • This home sits on the corner of Miller Ave and 2nd Street. A short 4 block walk to the beach. The home has porches and decks on all levels.
  • The floor to ceiling front doors lets in wonderful natural lighting. The deck on this level wraps around the entire first floor. To the righ of the front door is the picnic table which seats 8 and to the left is the gas grill.
  • There is a 2-car garage on the ground level for sedans and small vehicles only. SUV's, mini vans and pick-up trucks will need to park just in areas along Village Place or in the cul-de-sac. Parking is not allowed in front of the garage doors, please.
  • This picnic table is located just to the right of the front doors. The table can seat up to 8 guests and just the right place to enjoy the breezes from the ocean.
  • The home offers 2 off street parking places, using the gargage only. No parking in front of the garage, please.
  • To the left of the front doors is the gas grill and all of the BBQ tools you need.
  • The home sits on the corner of 2nd Street and Miller Ave. The Atlantic Ocean is just 4 blocks straight ahead down 2nd Street and an easy 10 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride. The beach has been newly renourished and is wide even at high tide!

Stainless steel major appliances, granite countertops, and wonderful white-washed cabinets filled with glassware, china and service ware. Freshly remodeled and full of her own brand new line of furniture , her beach home is the ideal vacation retreat. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any type meal - from simple to spectacular and is stocked with Paula's full collection of cookbooks. Full coffee service is also provided and features Captain Michael's of Savannah Coffee Collection! Technology abounds with complimentary high speed internet and WIFI, a large screen TV in the living room, and TV/DVDs in the bedrooms. Each bedroom is a cozy retreat with high thread count 100% cotton bedding, loads of pillows and the right atmosphere to relax. The outdoor deck/porch has a picnic table that seats 8 and also includes a gas grill.     we loved the house and Tybee Island. wish the weather had been better but we will return in the spring. we were upset with the beach, went to explore and the machine to pay would not take dollars or our credit card and their was an officer there at the corner watchin us trying to pay and he saw us go into storw to get change and when we returned after about 5 minutes he had put a ticket on our car, very unhappy about that the parking lit was empty not like we were keeping someone else from parking but everything else was wonderful!

    Had an awesome time on Tybee Island at the Y'all Come Inn! The beach house was so beautiful and had everything we needed! It was perfect for our girls' getaway but would also be great for a family. It was in a very convenient location on the island, a short walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. We loved the elevator - made unloading so easy. We also enjoyed the easy access to Savannah. Sightseeing and shopping in Savannah was fun but it was always so nice to get back to Tybee Island breezes and the inviting rocking chairs on the Y'all Come Inn porches. Our "mermaids" at Mermaid Cottages were simply the best!! Thank you so much for making this an easy, troublefree vacation. We will definitely be back!!

    A few suggestions for future guests. No light in the master bedroom closet made it very difficult. No wine bottle opener. No beach chairs we had to buy them and since we were flying had to leave them behind.

      We appreciate your review and comments, however we really wish you had notified us of your concerns while you were with us as we have 24/7 customer service and would have been more than happy to respond to your need for wine bottle opener as well as giving you a referral source for rental of beach equipment. We will be happy to pass along your suggestion regarding the addition of a light in the master bedroom closet. We will also make sure that we have a wine bottle opener there for future guests. Regarding beach chairs, the homeowners do not provide beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. due to the cost for continually having to replace damaged beach items. We have a great rental company on the island, Tim's Beach Gear, who rents all types of beach items including beach chairs. We are sorry you felt the need to buy beach chairs and leave them behind. We would have been happy to refer you to Tim's for all of your beach equipment needs. We hope you and your girlfriends had a great reunion and that you will consider returning to visit us again very soon!

    We had a wonderful experience staying at Paula Deen's Y'All Come Inn. The house was beautiful,it was in a very good location. The trip was for our 25th wedding anniversary and was SOOO worth it. I didn't want to come home. We loved the beach and the tours we went on. Dinner at The Lady and Son's was fantastic, so was dinner at Uncle Bubba's. I loved the signed cookbook too. My husband and I have already talked about returning and this time bringing the kids. If you ever have the chance, it is definately worth the money.

    Thanks to Jan and David of the Mermaid staff, a ramp was built to accomodate a guest in a wheelchair. Jan brought a ramp to the property, but David built an additional ramp for entrance into the property. The elevator was a lifesaver in the Y'All Come Inn! Everyone(Mona,Patty,Denise,Jan,David)bent overbackwards to accomodate our needs!

    We loved the cottage just a few things we had problems with, needed to know in advance that we needed special detergent for the washing machine(it was late the last nite to do laundry).The lock in the garage to the house didn't work right. The decks do need a little attention. Only had one trash bag.
    Denise was a great help she answered every time we called and she gave us great directions, which we needed alot. We were very disappointed in Lady and Sons restraurant. Not Paula's recieps.

We apologize that you were unaware of the washing machine detergent requirements. We are having our Maintenance Department evaluate the lock into the house from the garage as well as any work that may be needed on the decks. We do provide a starter supply of toilet tissue, trash bags, etc. Sometimes, according to guests' length of stay and individual needs, they may need to purchase additional supplies during their stay.     We are a group of teachers/moms/wives who needed a break! After researching on the internet, we believed Mermaid Cottages to be the agency we wanted to give our business (love the community involvement and love for animals). Then we found the Y'all Come Inn; we definitely made the right choice in both! The "Mermaids" were very friendly, helpful, and accomodating throughout the entire experience, and the house was incredible! It was very bright and clean; we felt very comfortable and at peace during our stay. There was plenty of space, and the furniture was not only attractive, but also comfortable. We especially had fun with the Paula Deen cutout! The home was located in a nice, quiet area, but had a short, pleasant walk to the beach. Our trip to Tybee and stay with the "Mermaids" and Paula Deen were definitely what we needed! All 7 of us highly recommend both!     Walking into the house for the first time was a feast for the eyes, taking in all the wonderful furnishings, all the family pictures, and the beautiful Christmas decorations. It was refreshing to sit on the porch and rock and relax. Than night set in and we were all bathed in the glow of the beautiful Christmas lights.

    It was a wonderful experience to be in the south with a great kitchen with equipment like home, and cooking with all the incredible food that Tybee Island has to offer. To cook with fresh shrimp is not something we get to do in NW Ohio. I appreciated all the cook books to read for inspiration too.

    I also dreamed of being able to cook with Paula and this was as close to that experience as I will probably get. I am a cook and have a Mother from the South and a father from the North with a diverse range of menus.

    I also so enjoyed the quick walk to the ocean. It was wonderful to get up early and catch the amazing sunrise with my husband.

    The furniture made you feel so comfortable and I know I am going to go shopping for our next home and get some of that Paula Deen furniture. I love the TV entertainment center.

    This trip was an early Christmas gift for our family and having two adult children, it is hard to find a place for everyone to enjoy, but this did work. We all had a great time walking the island and of course climbing the Lighthouse. Oh yeah wireless internet is important with the kids.

    We all had a great time eating at both the Lady and Sons and Uncle Bubbas. My daughter even tried grits and oysters for the first time and loved them both.

    We also walked the streets of Savannah taking in the history and enjoying tours of beautiful homes. The antique mall along the river ended up being better than I had expected for all.

    It has been a dream to have a bed & breakfast when we retire, and I could not imagine a better place than in Savannah.

    We loved the Y'all Come Inn on Tybee Island. The house was lovely and had all the amenities of home and more..the elevator was a fun bonus! We fell in love with Tybee and loved the area. The house is conveniently located and we enjoyed sightseeing in Savannah and eating at Lady and Sons and Uncle Bubba's restaurants. Mermaid was so accomodating and very attentive to any questions or concerns. Overall, a great find and hope to return one day!

    Beautiful place and the elevator was an added bonus. I would make just a few adjustments: the mattress on the bed in the master bedroom was uncomfortable...I felt like I was going to roll off the bed plus the bed springs squeak and you can hear them all over the house; secondly, put a ceiling fan in the 3rd bedroom, the upstairs seemed warmer than the living room.

    We loved our stay at Paula's cottage. It was beautiful and spacious, even with 6 of us there. We didn't mind the walk to the beach. We didn't realize until our last day that there's a "party" side to the beach and a "family" side. After seeing the party side, we were so happy with the locaion of the cottage.     Also, based on the website, I was under the impression that spices would be at the Inn. However, after discussing with David, I found out they did not provide them anymore. This is fine but I suggest the website be updated. Also, one other issue that we ran into was the gas grill not being clean - in fact, it almost caught on fire because it had not been cleaned. I suggest that someone look into this. Again, we did have a great time and would defintely stay again - the place was very homey!

    Our four-generation family from East Tennessee enjoyed staying in Paula Deen's Y'all Come Inn. It is very easy to find, just a couple of blocks off the main highway on a quiet street, and only four easy-to-walk short blocks to the beach. It is beautifully decorated and ****'n span clean. The elevator makes is so easy to get luggage and groceries from the garage to the kitchen or the bedrooms. It comes with an autographed book from Paula, as well as some Paula Deen goodies. If you're going to Savannah and you're a Paula Deen fan, you must stay in her beach house and dine at the Lady and Sons and Uncle Bubba's!

    Overall we loved the beach house. Only a couple of negative comments. We were assured that there were spices and seasonings at the house, but no baking items (i.e. flour, sugar, oil). The only seasonings were salt and pepper so if you want more, bring it yourself. The washer/dryer were wonderful to have available but the dryer makes a horrible squeaking noise when you use it. bedroom THe linens and towels are fabulous. Beautiful furnishings and lots of room. The elevator was a fantastic surprise!!

    We really enjoyed or stay and the property is very nice. My suggestions are some fresh paint on the walls. The master bed matress needs replaced as it has a very high spot in the middle. Some tile maintance in the masterbed bathroom, in the shower. Also suggest installing a mosture vent in the main shower area. I would also suggest some solid flooring on the main floor,instead of laminate, in the dining/kithen/living room.

    The house is very nice and clean. If you are going just to visit Savanah it's a bit out of the way. It's a good 25 minute drive back and forth. Also if I'm going to stay at a Beach House I want to stay on the Beach. This is 3 blocks away. But I loved the house. I had a great time. It's very peaceful. I can't say enough about the staff at Mermaid Cottages....they were devine to work with and appreciate all they did to help us.     We all have a wonderful time staying at Paula Deen's Y'all Come Inn on Tybee Island. It is the perfect place to stay because it's located on Tybee Island with its beautiful beach and lots of great places to eat and visit. Also it's only about 15 minutes from Savannah, which is a "must see". We planned our trip for our Mother who is a big Paula Deen fan. She really enjoyed herself, especially when she saw the Paula Deen cookbook that was signed and personalized to her. It was fun trying all the different Paula Deen seasonings and Captain Michael coffee. We all had our own favorites and bought them at the Paula Deen store in Savannah.     We had a wonderful stay at “Y’all Come Inn!” We were visiting the area for the 3rd time in 5 years because we love Savannah so much! Our son was on spring break from college and my husband surprised us by making reservations at “Y’all Come Inn,” Paula’s personal beach house on Tybee Island. The house was beautifully decorated, well-equipped and amazingly clean. The yummy welcome gifts we received are still being enjoyed now that we are back at home.
    We could not have been more pleased with the property, its condition, or the excellent customer service provided by Mermaid Cottages. They even called us a couple of times while we were in the area to see how we were doing and to ask if we needed anything. We were so impressed! We have rented several beach houses in other areas during the last 10 years or so and had never gotten that kind of personal service! I have to admit, though, the best part of the “package” was securing easy reservations at The Lady & Sons and Uncle Bubba’s! No waiting plus we received VIP service at the restaurants! It was a wonderful vacation and I would do it all again in a minute!

    This is our second stay at a Mermaid Cottage, and Y'all Come Inn was just as fabulous as our cottage was this summer. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the cozy vibe made us feel instantly at home. The elevator was a lifesaver as we didn't have to carry our bags from the garage to the upstairs bedrooms. No surprise - the kitchen was great and we cooked multiple meals there, including Christmas dinner. We also took advantage of all the Paula Deen perks that come with the house - reservations at both restaurants and all the great products in the pantry. This was the perfect place for a family Christmas! Many thanks to Mermaid Cottages for taking such good care of us!

    We came for a November weekend to celebrate my 40th and 7 other ladies. And it was great! The house is gorgeous and spacious, and we felt very comfortable and relaxed there. We enjoyed eating at Paula's restaurant and at Uncle Bubba's. It was cool to have VIP reservations and a very short wait to be seated. The folks at Mermaid Cottages were so helpful and attentive during the trip planning. They were quick to respond graciously to any question. Before we left I heard more than one person suggest that we make it an annual event to come to Tybee and stay at Paula's. We loved it!

    If you'd like a vacation where you can feel comfortable and right at home - this is the place for you! Everything from the pre-registration process to check out was smooth and trouble free. We felt the staff was more than accommodating and actually would go the extra mile to help you - very friendly and helpful! They were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. The home was lovely and so very comfortable! Close to the beach (4 blocks). Loved the rocking chairs on the wrap around deck! I enjoyed having my morning coffee out there each morning taking in the warmth and sunshine! Every detail was well thought out - even a gas grill and picnic table on the deck! Two other patios - one off the master suite and another one off the other queen bedroom. The kitchen was BEAUTIFUL, well supplied with items you need for cooking. Great appliances. Peaceful location, yet short drive to Savannah (a beautiful city!). Enjoyed all the family pictures in the home. Made us feel like part of the family! We also enjoyed all the cookbooks / books there. We spent a great deal of time looking through all of them (it's a nice touch!). Highlights of our trip were the meals at Lady & Sons and Uncle Bubba's restaurants. With the guaranteed seating, we were able to get right in to both. We loved everything about this vacation home and can't wait to return!

    I enjoyed our stay overall, but have a few comments. The bed in the main bedroom needs the mattress changed out. It has a low area on one side that's very uncomfortable. The next night, my husband told me he'd tolerate that side and give me the other. There is a ridge in the center that actually pulls at your back if you try to lay facing inwards, so I finally positioned myself facing out using extra pillows. Also, the gift basket was no basket, and we felt unsure how the spice deal was handled, so we took the three items we tried assuming they'd be pitched since they were open. Also, new towels in bath area had not been previously washed.
