  We loved the cozy, quaint cottage. The bright colors and decor were wonderful. My 22 year old wants to buy it. She is single and needs a cozy place to come home to after work. The weather was awful so we got no beach time, but at least we had a fun place to be inside instead of a regular boring hotel room.

  I cannot begin to say how wonderful my stay was at this Mermaid Cottage. The beds were truly the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Three of us went down to Tybee for a Girl's Weekend and we laughed ourselves silly and loved being so close to the beach. The cottage is inviting and bright and chock full of happiness inside. We all cannot wait to book from Mermaid again. Truly -- from the very minute we booked it until we had to leave to come back to Athens -- you can't ask for a more professional and FUN company to rent from. I am ready to run away to Tybee and work for the Mermaids. I've been going to Tybee for years now and should have been renting from Mermaid all along. No going back now. Many, many thanks!

  It was such an honor to stay at Old Love. Everyone in our group loved it. My husband mentioned it again this morning. It is the most wonderful place imaginable. The beach is a tiny walk away. We enjoyed our wine in the backyard at night and I read my book on the blue swing with my coffee in the early morning. The cottage is tiny, like the original beach cottages and ever so charming. I loved the easy check in and check out and the mermaids are ever charming and ready to assist with anything 24/7. Everyone knows mermaids never sleep. I loved this cottage and can not wait to return. Thanks for the wonderfully charming, relaxing visit. Old Love will forever be in my heart.

  Stayed at Old Love cottage. It was heaven and had everything we needed. I loved the slipcovered chairs...backyard furniture, especially the swing. Could make a cup of coffee and walk the few steps to the beach to enjoy the sunrise. So quiet and peaceful at night--could see the stars. Very, very clean and beautifully decorated. Loved shopping at Seaside Sister as well. Very private! Loved hanging laundry on the retractable clothesline. Very eco-friendly.

  We had a really great time here. Everything was very clean and tidy. Even when we called maintenance about our dryer they were out immediately working on it and offering to finish our laundry for us. Best customer service I've ever seen.

  My husband & I LOVED the ambiance at the cottage. A true shabby chic cottage,... Reminded us of key west! We relaxed in the main cottage with our 15 mo daughter,...while my boys enjoyed the rear cottage (9 & 13). We took a baby "monitor" the boys at night ;). The only recommendation take bug spray and if extended stay,... Bring many citronella candles or a means to ward of the Mosquitos,...the bug of the south was horrible,...not being able to enjoy the outside area,..which was adorable.
  The mermaid cottage rental company is amazing,...the girls are great & more than helpful!!
  We will be back & will work with the mermaid rentals!

  This was such a beautiful place! So historic and very small, that's why we rented it in the first place. We will be renting it again very soon! If you want some intimate time with family, this is the place, only 1 big room and so refreshing! My children 7months and 5 yrs did well because we weren't so spread out. Love old love!

  Our family had a blast!!! The little pink house is sooo close to beach, no hassle to find parking or tote supplies to beach. We loved the outdoor shower and firepit. Absolutely adored the decorations and linens in the house and back bedroom. So stinkin cute. Compared to condos and other houses on Tybee, this one is by far the BEST! Even though it is small, there was plenty of great storage. The backyard bedroom was perfect for the in-laws!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

  From the moment I walked up the stairs and into the cottage- I could not stop smiling. I love cottages. I have books and magazines in abundance. I don't just look though the books once - but study with passion! Old Love was just what I have read, studied, clipped pictures and bunny tagged pages about! A true cottage. One that in all it's tiny glory- is bigger than the grandest of mansions. Each square foot filled with character. Everything in its place. My husband laughed at me daily as I moved his things out of sight- not to clutter my view of the cottage ... And made the bed daily- just so I wouldn't disturb her beauty! Waking up in Old Love is so magical the way the sun bounces around the white walls. You feel refreshed just opening your eyes to the new day! Thank you to the owners for sharing this beautiful place!
  
  The island is so full of history. There is more than just the sun and beach to see. Taking in all of Tybee allows you to be apart of history. Riding bikes is a must! The sun and the breeze and the beautiful scenery- bring peace to such a busy life!

  Loved our easy,quick access to the beach and our quiet dead end street. I was nervous it would be loud and busy so close to a main road through the island, but we felt very secluded. And we could hear the tide at night. Very quaint cottage, great trip for our family! General condiditon, especially for the age of the cottage, was great! There are just a couple things that could maybe use a little attention, but nothing worth complaining about. Met our needs perfectly! Wish we could have stayed longer. We loved Tybee and Savannah. Sunrise on Easter Sunday was an incredible experience! So glad we brought our bikes, fun to ride around with everything being so accessible from our location. Thanks for the effective and easy rental process, we really enjoyed working with your company.

  My sisters, daughter, & I wanted to celebrate turning 50, 55, & 60 years old with a special road trip, highlighted with time at the beach. Found this cottage & found it to be just as quaint & special as it looked in the pictures. The beach was wonderful, clean, not crowded. And our last morning, the dolphins played in th water, almost like it was just for us. Staff was awesome, so helpful & friendly. Have & will recommend to friends. If we ever plan another trip to the area, this will be our first choice.

  My mom and I decided to do something different and stay in a cottage instead of a hotel or condo for our annual trip together. Overall, we had a nice experience. We found the staff helpful & informative. The main negative w/ us was not having access to the thermostat. It was locked up. Our last morning, the temp. was in the 40's and we were really cold as we were preparing breakfast and packing.

  We had a great time at Old Love cottage! The house was so cute that I am already planning my retirement that house! :) It was like walking back in time. My only suggestions to the owner would be to get a much larger television set. It rained while we were there and it would have been nice to be able to watch a movie together, but the set was too small and the volume not loud enough. The other suggestion would be to continue the oyster stepping stones to the back Sleeping House, again, it rained and we had to slosh through the water to go back and forth. Overall, our stay was just great!

  Old Love exceeded my expectations in every way. Nestled on a quiet little beach street, the cottage was perfectly clean and just what I needed for my "mom" retreat. Given the confined kitchen space... everything I needed was available. I especially appreciated the sharp knives... a rarity in beach places! Will definitely stay again.

  In 2008 by best friend and I stayed for 8 days in Jane Coslick's "99 Steps from the Beach," the house next door. We loved it so much that I knew someday I had to bring my husband of 38 years - also an Old Love - to Tybee. At that time, Jane was selling "Old Love," then named the "Luscious Litte Cottage," and she gave me a tour. It's been sold and redecorated since then & is still just as adorable. My husband and I agree that our stay was WONDERFUL! We have no complaints whatsoever. We found it clean & cozy thanks to responsive heat and cooling (we used both and none, weather depending). We feel so blessed to have had such a romantic, relaxing time. It felt like we were in our own home on the beach! We'll be back!

  The cottage was fantastic! We are a family of 4 and had plenty of room to stretch out. Not to mention how adorable it was, love the decor and the location. We were close to the beach for nice walks, our only complaint was the weather. It rained everyday, but because Savannah was so close we got to enjoy the city. We would like to go back and enjoy more of the beach. It was a great cottage & the staff was very helpful.
  If you have never been to Tybee Island, we all recommend it, great restaurants (The Breakfast Club!, A.J.s Dockside), great stores, great beaches, you can relax or drive into Savannah for more great dinning and history lessons! Dolphins, stingrays, manetees, aligators, gorgeous sunsets, oh my!

  We definitely enjoyed our stay at Old Love cottage. It was a great place for our family of four to enjoy our first trip to Tybee Island. We had a great time at the beach, visiting the light house and Ft. Pulaski. The restaurants were great as well as the relaxed, layed back environment.
  
  The only thing about the cottage that should be clearly listed in the description is that the second bedroom is actually in a different building than the cottage. We figured this out before hand but when I booked this cottage I did not realize there were too separate buildings. Since we have small children, one adult and one child had to sleep together. Bummer for mom & dad!
  
  Oh well, over all Old Love was a delight to stay in and we were very please that we found such a great place to spend our spring break.

  The location is truly within earshot of the beach along a dune trail at the end of a quiet street. The cottage was like a magic getaway, with the little cottage at the back an added bonus. Beautifully decorated, the cottages have a beachy, cozy, welcoming feel we have held onto long after returning to the cold North.   Mermaid Cottages made it easy to see this and several other attractive cottages on Tybee. The place was sweet and comfortable, on a dead-end street genuinely only a five minute walk to a beautiful open beach. As our visit was off-season (early March), we enjoyed a sense of real seclusion. The property includes a second building that feels like a huge (screened in) treehouse for afternoon naps. We would definitely stay at Old Love cottage again.

  We loved Old Love, it was in a perfect location. The Cottage was spotless and comfortable. The linens smelled so good, if we could bottle it up we would be in heaven. So close to the beach, fine dining and a convenience store. The "Tree House" behind the main cottage as we called it, was so unique and quaint; a room surronded by windows with the ocean breeze coming through at night. The staff was amazing and always available to assist. Old Love is a must stay!

All of the cottages got rave reviews from our wedding guests and the Mermaid staff gave us impeccable, personal service all weekend. Jan and Barbara even made a point to introduce themselves to us personally during the weekend and called us to make sure everything was going smoothly with the accomodations.
