  From Day One Mermaid been professional and kept us inform about the property. When we arrive we felt at home right away. The place is fully equip with all essential and more. The place was clean and bright. My pets felt comfortable and happy right away they both lay on the dog bed by the front door. We will definetly use your service again when we go to Tybee Island. Thank you for the binder information about Tybee Island it was very helpful. We already Miss it.

  We have stayed at many places but this cottage is by far the best place we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is amazing. There was so many comforts down to doggie treats and even something for their collar if they get lost.
  The beds were comfortable, the coffee was wonderful and the home was light and airy.
  We did go over to Jitterbug on Sunday but our welcome wasn't felt there however, everywhere else we went, we had a great time. We enjoyed Sweet Carolina's Cupcakes in Savannah and went back the next day for cupcakes to take home. We did the usual tourist things and even experienced the Grimble House Paranormal which was very cool.
  We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great time.

  My husband and I had a very memorable stay at Paws and Paddles. Enjoyed all the little nick nacks throughout the cottage. The decor looked like a little lake cottage that we really enjoyed. The showerhead in the outdoor shower could have had a better head on it for a better shower, but I could have called the management and I'm sure it would have been replaced. . .I chose not to call. All in all I'd give this cottage a two thumbs up. Nancy F

  From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and comfortable! Since we stayed during the holidays, the Christmas lights and decorated tree were just that extra touch to make you say "WOW"! My family of 5 (3 kids ages 3, 10, 14) all enjoyed this cheery cottage, as did our 2 dogs! Every detail was thought of and the beds are very comfortable! I am a huge fan of Jane Coslick, too, so that was an added bonus!
  
  The location was great and we loved the bakery across the street. We could not have been more pleased! We are planning on returning to Tybee and to this cottage!!!!

  Perfect! My mother asked me to plan a reunion at a beach cottage for my father's 80th birthday. My first thought was one of the Charleston SC beaches, where we have visited many times. Then I read an article about Jane Coslick and fell in love with the cottage she had saved. That led me to the Mermaid Cottages.
  We fell in love with Paws & Paddles. My dad couldn't get over the attention to detail. There were even binoculars for the day he went bird watching! We all loved the cheerful decor.
  We're already planning to return next year!

  We were very satisfied with our experience with Mermaid Cottages. We brought 2 small poodles who felt perfectly at home in the lodgings. Spaces were tidy and appealing. We enjoyed the wildlife, yet felt the photo of the marsh walkway was misleading. We would certainly rent in the future from these folks.

  This was my first stay at Tybee. My brother,sister in-law and I took my mother there to celebrate her Birthday and had a wonderful time. We all want to come back. Our cottage was so clean and decorated so cheery. We all felt so comfortable and relaxed. We enjoyed having coffee in the sunroom in the morning. The location was great. We were close to the light house and a great beach and we took many bike rides to town. What a fun and relaxing time! I would recommend this cottage to a friend. Thank you Mermaid Cottages for introducing me to Tybee, I look forward to staying at other Mermaid Cottages in the future!

  We rented the Paws and Paddles cottage. It was the most adorable cottage and super pet friendly. We brought along our two Cavalier King Charles puppies for this trip and the place was a delight. I loved the beach bum biscuits down to the dog bed displaying "ruff life". I couldn't have found a better place to stay for our first visit to Tybee Island.

  I had high expectations when I booked Paws and Paddles and was nervous that they would not be met. However, when we arrived at this cottage, it was MORE than I could have ever imagined. This was a special vacation since I had never had the opportunity to travel with my Mom, Mother-In-Law and my youngest daughter. Paws and Paddles was the perfect place for us to spend family time, relax and enjoy the comforts of home.
  
  The Mermaids, although never seen, kept in contact and provided for our every need. They are a special group of ladies and I will always rent cottages from them in the future when traveling to Tybee.
  
  I am already looking forward to going back to Paws and Paddles with my husband, daughter and Yorkie! I am sure that all of the dog "amenities" will be enjoyed by our furry child!

  Our stay was wonderful and we were so happy with the cottage! The beds were so comfortable, the a/c was perfect, plenty of hot water for four adults getting ready at one time, extremely clean, no odors from past pets and beautifully decorated. We loved the back sunroom sitting area and were able to totally relax. Short distance from the beach, quiet street and great location. We will definitely try to book this cottage first for our next beach trip! We appreciated the dog treats and tags for the dogs collars. Mermaids called us to make sure our cottage was perfect and we were happy to tell them it was great and no problems!

  I decided to make Tybee the location of my 55th Birthday Celebration and began my research for a place to stay starting with Mermaid Cottages. Paws and Paddles was not my first choice of where I wanted to stay on Tybee but by the time I was ready to make reservations my #1 choice was already taken for the dates of my trip. Well, I'm was very pleased with my #2 choice and my 3 night stay seemed a little short. The cottage was very clean, great colors, and I loved the location. I have not stayed on the North end of Tybee before but it was only a short walk to the lighthouse and very short drive to all my favorite places to eat.
  I most definitely would return to Paws and Paddles and recommend it to my friends.

  Contemporary but still has the beach cottage feel. Clean,comfortable, well equipped. Convenient to the north beach, lighthouse, etc. None of the "quirks" that you sometimes find in older cottages. Mermaid Cottages has always been a pleasure to rent from-professional, expedient, and courteous. Although the cottages is pet friendly, there were no stray pet hairs, lingering odors, etc. Almost made us wish we had a dog who could enjoy the cottage with us. Highly recommended.

  My oldest daughter just mused to Savannah in May 2011. all she can talk about since then is how much she and her husband love spending their weekends on Tybee. Now we all know why. The house was so great and in a great location. We also took the dogs and they had a great time as well. We will definitley be back:)

  Two girlfriends from college and I spent the weekend here, and it was just great! The cottage isn't on the beach, but it's a short walk to everywhere and was quieter than those right on the strand. The decor was just adorable - beachy but not cheesy over the top. Our only suggestion was that we wish there was a map and where to eat guide in the cottage, but we found one at a nearby shop. Definitely eat at AJ's - it's a walk, but totally worth it. It was a great weekend, and I can't wait to return!

  I brought my 2 daughter in laws on a girl trip and we stayed at Paws and Paddles. It was an awesome place and the location was terrific. We enjoyed the house and everything we needed was there. We called about one of the tubs not draining and toilet running some and left to go shopping when we returned all was fixed and the office was very nice when we called. We got A+++ service and had an A+++ stay, thank you, we will be back.

  Paws and Paddles was just great for our small 3 generation gathering - we loved the cheerful decor that makes you feel at the beach the minute you walk through the door. The sun room was great and we spent most of our time there, and when cooking there's plenty of room in the living room, breakfast area for everyone to pitch in or just join the conversation. Great pantry and storage and the kitchen has everything you need. Tybee is becoming our favorite beach get away because of the Mermaid Cottages and the great personal attention from the Mermaids.

  This cottage was awesome! After arriving, my family didn't want to leave. My wife thought the house was tastefully decorated and even took pictures to give herself some ideas so we could decorate our house. The beds and furniture were extremely comfy. We were a short bike ride to the north beach and the lighthouse and a short drive to south beach. When the front porch light burned out, I called the management company to let them know and they had some someone out to the house within 15 minutes changing the bulb.

  Everything was top notch! Usually when we travel we have a lot of trouble getting comfortable beds. The beds at Paws and Paddles are so comfortable! We had such a relaxing time.
