  I could not have asked for a better experience, the house and area were beautiful, the customer service was fantastic, and it was generally an all around great experience. The only remote complaint i can even give, is that the bike included with the house had a flat tire.

We do want you to know that we do not provide bikes and instead, because of the problems with upkeep (as you noted with the bike that happened to be there at the cottage) we refer our guests to the excellent bike rental companies on Tybee. We apologize if the bike that was there was not in good repair. Sometimes, homeowners may leave a bike there at the cottage, but we don't consider it part of the rental and we don't do upkeep on them. Again, though, we are so happy you had an otherwise great experience and we hope to see you back with us again very soon! ~The Mermaids of Tybee Island

  My family stayed at the Drift Inn. We had a lovely time. The house was perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with all you could possibly need to cook full meals. The location was perfect - Just seconds from back river and a couple of blocks from the beach. We couldn't have asked for more! This home is very kid friendly and we appreciated that so much. We would definitely stay there again. Mermaid Cottages is a wonderful company with great customer service. We also loved that they are a "green" company and encourage recycling in their rental cottages, use energy-saving bulbs, and use green cleaning supplies. Check-in and check-out was so easy. We loved our stay at Tybee. Thanks a bunch!

  Our family loved staying at Drift inn. It was really fun to have the little beach access so near the house. AJ's was a great place to eat! The house was very roomy, we enjoyed the screened porch also. Also loved that it is dog friendly! Thank you for everything!

  Only thing wrong with this stay, it just wasn't long enough! This property is in the perfect location if you want to be out of the crowds. Only thing we might suggest would be shelves in the showers. Kitchen well stocked and beds very comfortable!

  The location to the back river was excellent. We carried our kayaks right down to the water. The location to the beach was good, walking distance for sure, but we brought so much stuff (surfboards, boogieboards, chairs, kids)that we just had one person drive all the stuff to the beach and then walk down after parking the truck back at the house. Loved,the beach! It was our first time at Tybee and it's our favorite beach now. It was nice to have the fenced yard for the dogs. We couldn't enjoy the screened-in porch because it was in the 90's when we were there, but it was decorated very cute. The layout of the house was perfect, nice open living/kitchen space, with the four bedrooms/2 baths down the hallway. Lots of places to sit (comfy couch, loveseat, chair) 2 dining tables. The house stayed nice and cool, the window air conditioners were pretty loud though. We will only rent Mermaid Cottages when staying in Tybee!

  We booked late and were lucky to find Drift Inn. Bigger than it looks, this bright and cheerfully decorated house was clean and comfortable--spacious rooms, comfortable beds and furniture, good showers--and located in a quiet area just a short walk from the beach. The one amenity we missed having was an outdoor shower (and a clothesline). Despite our best efforts, we ended up bringing a lot of sand and wet stuff inside.

  Drift Inn is basically a cinderblock structure but it was fine for the beach-just dont expect sumptious furnishings and expensive window treatments.Mermaid staff are excellent.Would rent it again.The location is great-close to beach and the kayak launching area.

  Drift Inn was just perfect for our family's Father's Day celebration at the beach. The beds were comfortable, the open living/dining area was roomy and bright, and the screened porch was a great place to enjoy to enjoy the evening sea breeze. While the house looks small from the picture on the website, it's really quite roomy with four nice bedrooms and two baths. It's just a few blocks from the main beach and shopping area, and there's a small beach and pier right across the street.
  Our fist time a Tybee was great thanks to the Mermaids at Mermaid Cottages. We can't wait to get back to the beach!
