This house is spacious and pleasant. Located on a quiet street, not too far from the beach. With more than two people, bring some extra towels.

We couldn't have asked for a better destination for a family vacation. With two thirteen year old boys and guests well into their AARP years, Maddies on Jones was the perfect location for this diverse group. We all felt at ease exploring the island on bike or foot or car, and cherished the time in the cottage - the perfect place to put together a puzzle, munch on a sandwich and sit and chat. Thank you!
DEAR MERMAID COTTAGES, I WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL STAY WE HAD. WE WERE GETTING SO DESPERATE TO FIND A PLACE TO STAY FOR OUR SON'S DEPLOYMENT.(INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD) I WAS IN TEARS BY THE TIME WE CAME ACROSS MERMAID COTTAGES. DIANE, I BELIEVE WAS HER NAME WAS SO KIND! SHE REST ASSURED THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE FINE AND SHE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! WE COULD'NT HAVE FOUND A BETTER PLACE FOR US (MADDIE'S ON JONES) OR NICER PEOPLE! WE STILL THINK AND TALK ABOUT OUR STAY THERE. MY SON IS NOW IN IRAQ AND JUST SAID HE WANTS TO GO BACK. HE SAYS HE WANTS THE SAME PLACE AND 'MOM DONT FORGET THAT LADY'S NAME'! THE COTTAGE WAS VERY NICE AND COZY. HE LOVED THE FACT THAT HE COULD HAVE HIS DOG (BHODA) WITH HIM AS WELL! We had a wonderful time. It was a friend's 50th birthday and the location was great. The best part was we were able to take out black Lab with us.

We really enjoyed our stay, the only problem the whole week was that when we arrived there were cockroaches in the cottage, although I'm not sure if that can be helped!

We had a wonderful vacation at Maddie's on Jones at Tybee. The only problem we had were bugs - actually a type of roach - that lived in the trees next to the property, but when we called the property manager, she sent over an exterminator immediately. The little house is so sweet, and my family loved our stay.
This cottage was very cute and in a fabulous location (quick walk to the beach and store). My favorite thing about it was the outside shower and the wonderful huge tree and relaxing chairs outside along with the large fenced back yard if you have little ones. On the flip side, the cottage was a little dirty(animal hair on the master bed and a coffee pot with left over grounds in it). Also in need of pest control for the aggressive cockroaches. Problems may have been fixed by now but it may be good to ask. Don't forget to visit Aj's for sunsets and great food!
